r/ClashOfClans

After 14 years of playing, I just realized this isn’t a horse.
So, which one is the best this season?
Thinking about starting to upgrade the temporary defenses. since it's been a few weeks, which one is looking like to be the best one to upgrade first..??
HAPPILY PAYING MY DEBTS.
When the bug came out, I actually was not aware that using the revenge button would give you orange ores. I did 4-5 attacks and just thought it was neat that the revenge area showed you how much loot they got.
When I went to upgrade equipment the next day or so, I did a double take and was in disbelief at the ores. Immediately went to check achievements thinking these were retro rewards. Couldn't find them or see where they linked too.
Of course after that I spent it on the last major levels for the equipment. A few days later I went to this subreddit and saw the posts about it and the debate of supercell at the time not being able to find a way to deduct ores, and people showing off that exploit the glitch.
I am happy that supercell did find a way to allow negative ores. The people that show off got karma. It also made the game fair since it's a grind for all.
I have never spent a dime on clash and never will, the grind is fun, spending money on Coc is like using cheat codes and then the game is no longer fun.
My goal since I started playing again 3 years ago is to max my base (base + troops + walls) before the next TH drops. I think in about 10-12 weeks Ill have repay back the orange ores.
I redesigned the entire Player Profile
I’ve been working on a complete player profile UI redesign over the last week, since the current profile feels outdated, not very informative, and not personal enough.
My goal with this revamp was to make the profile cleaner, more modern, and far more useful. This way, you can understand a player’s progress and skill level faster and more reliably.
Modern UI & Structure
The first thing you’ll notice is the new modern layout.
I tried to capture Clash’s current design language while making the profile more accessible and easier to understand. Everything is organized by village and game mode.
At the top, you get a full overview of the player:
Username and player tag Social tag Ranked League and Builder League Player Level progress
Player Level Rework
Player Levels desperately need a rework.
My idea is a reward track where you earn rewards—such as chests, ore (including Starry Ore), magic items like books and potions—for every XP milestone you reach.
This would make leveling more meaningful and give players an incentive to keep progressing.
New Unique Player Profile Pictures
I also introduced Player Profile Pictures as a new cosmetic type to make profiles more customizable and personal.
They could be earned through chests, challenges, special events, and the Gold Pass (one matching icon each season on the paid track).
Profiles still feel a bit plain, so I also imagined backgrounds and badges that you could assign to your profile picture. These badges could evolve visually as you complete achievements.
Home Village Improvements
The base structure remains familiar, but the ranked section is now much more informative.
You can instantly see a player’s record and access their League History and Battle Log.
This makes it easier for clan leaders to evaluate potential recruits and get a first impression of their performance and playstyle.
Clan Section Enhancements
The clan section now additionally shows:
Clan Level with progress bar
CWL League
CWL win rate
Season Info (results of the last CWL season or clan war)
This gives a much clearer picture of a clan’s activity and performance.
Builder Base Improvements
The Builder Base section now displays 3D hero renders, and the battle log is easier to access.
This makes the section more visually appealing and functional.
Clan Capital Redesign
The Clan Capital section now shows the entire Capital map instead of just the Capital Hall.
You can visit each district directly from the profile and see their levels, giving a much better impression of the clan’s progress.
You can also see the clan’s Raid Weekend league, and the new Raid Log improves accessibility and clarity even further.
Achievements Moved to a New Page
Achievements now have their own dedicated page where you can claim your gems as usual.
In my opinion, achievements should also award unique badges that visually upgrade as you complete each stage—adding more personality and progression to the profile.
Also, both the Clan Wars Preference and the setting to receive Clan Invites have been moved to the settings page, as they seem to make more sense there.
Huge thanks to everyone who took the time to view this concept, read through the details, or leave feedback.
I had a blast working on this project and redesigning the player profile in the UI/UX‑oriented design software Figma.
Everything was handcrafted by me—no artificial intelligence was used in the design process.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or ideas for improvements.
Original Crafted Defense Concepts (No AI)
Nothing against the builder base defenses, but I feel like crafted defenses should have unique mechanics that address certain strategies that lack real counters, instead of just being generic damage dealers. These concepts are designed to provide some counterplay against meta attacks, while not completely invalidating anything.
Which defense would you choose if these were in game?
Next Update is April 25th?
I’m not sure if it’s a mistranslation or an accidental leak by the Japanese team. I think they leaked it, because the update is scheduled for before April 28. But, most of updates are released on Mondays.
What do you guys think?
Coc has been posting images of the strongman and his pony every month, so here are the best ones I could find
CWL Tegrity
I honestly wouldn't have been too upset if he gave extra medals, it is a game after all. But it really makes me happy that our clan leader has integrity to run the clan as it should be. Not picking and choosing or self-benefiting. Seeing some of the stories on here i like when I have positive experiences with my clan
Grinding heroes and walls… this is the most boring part of the game 😩
I swear upgrading heroes and walls is the slowest and most boring grind ever. Sitting here waiting hours just to upgrade Barbarian King, Archer Queen, and Grand Warden again and again…
Walls are even worse -millions of gold/elixir gone in seconds for just a few pieces 😭
At this point I’m just logging in collecting resources upgrading and logging out. No fun attacks, no action… just pure grinding.
How did they manage to get dragon’s slayer achievement?
They only have 9 stars in their goblin map levels though they got the dragon slayer achievement, was it available for everyone on release or something?
Speechless
0 stars, of course.
I still don't understand how people can't take CWL seriously. Every attack I do I give my soul trying the 3 stars even tho every time I go against a higher townhall than mine, and then I look to my teammates and see this kind of sh*t. Can't find a serious clan man.
Why is building a clan so hard now, or am I doing something wrong?
I started a clan around 10–11 months ago with just my alts. Over time I brought in real members, removed the alts, and now the clan is active with constant wars and a solid win streak. I’ve mainly been recruiting through Reddit and Discord, not using the in-game notice board.
But I still don’t understand something. Even with activity, structure, and good war performance, recruiting feels extremely difficult. Players join and leave quickly, some don’t care about wars, and others seem to expect everything instantly. It feels like no matter how much effort you put into building something properly, it barely gets noticed. For those who have built clans from scratch, does it get easier after a certain point, or is it always like this?
Collection Complete ✨✨✨
Started saving mid th 16 .Finally got all of them. Used some amount of cwl medals in between for hammer of heros.
Any idea when next cwl league skin of minion prince and dragon Duke gonna come? What are you waiting for Supercell 🌝
