I’m watching for the first time and I just got to the first episode of season 11 where Scheana discloses that she has OCD and while I don’t like her, as someone who has OCD I started looking back on some moments with more empathy and compassion. Like how her wedding to Shay where everything has to be perfect and she wants to start things over. Like I feel like if I can be perfect and be so prepared that nothing bad will happen and I’ll obsess over little details like what shirt I’m wearing or if I know all the details

I was wondering if any other folks with OCD saw moments you connected to.

A big problem I have is accidentally getting stuck in hand washing or checking loops and I’m late to work a lot. They’ve looked past it mostly because I’m such a skilled and knowledgeable staff member but I’d honestly love to not worry at any second I could get written up.

Would it be reasonable to ask that I have Grace of 10 minutes late no questions asked or would that be feeding into my ocd? I know that the end goal is I don’t get into loops. I’m in therapy and just started medication about 2 months ago.

Has anyone asked for accommodations for ocd at work?
