HRT & medical differences between men & women
There are known medical differences between cis men and women, e.g., longevity, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, depression, etc. Are there any studies on how HRT affects a trans individual's chances of developing an ailment they otherwise wouldn't if not for HRT?
For example, nearly 80% of the estimated 10 million Americans who have osteoporosis are female. Can a MTF trans individual with no pre-HRT-identified osteoporosis expect, after starting HRT, to see any greater propensity toward developing it if there's a history among her female relatives?
