I, like the idiot I am, ruined my first aftermarket wedge because the plastic masonry anchors failed and I had to step it up to tapcon concrete screws. I went ham on the screw with an impact and completely blew out the back of the wedge. I couldn't relocate the mounting location because of where the Ethernet cable comes out of the wall, and how the bricks sit so I had to make that spot work. I reached out to the company and he made me a custom version, reinforced and more suitable to my needs. I told him from the get go that I caused the failure and that it wasn't the fault of his product. I insisted on paying for the new version and paying for an upcharge for the additional work of redesigning and re-engineering but he wouldn't hear it. He sent me the new part and it's one of the best 3D printed mounts I've ever seen. I highly recommend him and his product if you are in the need for a wedge. He offers a lot of additional angles.

Brick mounting options

I’m just a girl that doesn’t want to drill into brick. Is there any option to mount the doorbell camera without having to drill?

Hi everyone, looking for some advice or visibility from Reolink staff here.
I’ve been a loyal customer (spent nearly $600 on 4x Argus 3 Ultras and a Doorbell), but my experience with the RMA process has been incredibly frustrating.

The Issue:
All 4 Argus 3 Ultras have persistent connection failures (even with strong signal on a TP-Link AX55).

I reached out on March 30th. It’s now May 1st and I still don't have working security.

The Conflict: Reolink acknowledged the defect but says the Argus 3 Ultra is out of stock. They are now demanding I pay a $30 per unit "price difference" to get the Argus PT Ultra as a replacement.

My Stance: I shouldn't have to pay $120 extra to fix a manufacturer defect just because the original model is out of stock. This is a safety issue for my home that has dragged on for over a month.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any help from the Reolink team would be appreciated. U/Reolink-Will

Best for bird watching

I want to set up something to allow my wife to watch all the critters she feeds out front. The target zone is from 3' to 65 ' from the house and about 25' wide . I was thinking about a dual lens models. Would a rotatable camera be over kill? I expect that it will focus on the movement and at times there be movement all over the place. I want to make this as simple as I can for the wife as she will be watching her own dedicated monitor.

So I have a home hub pro that I set up at my mother‘s house. She has a pretty large house and the problem is the router is in the basement in one far corner of the house. The home hub to be able to contact all the cameras needs to be somewhat centered in the home so I opted to replace it on the first floor in the room that is in the center of the house. It needs to be plugged into ethernet obviously - the problem is there is no ethernet anywhere near where the center of the house would be so I bought a wireless extender, plugged it into an outlet in that room and then plugged the home hub into it. Everything seems to be working, but it’s damn near impossible to get the thing to load when you’re not local to it. I would say one in 15 times it will actually load when you’re away. Why/what can I do

So every day my wife goes out and waters her plants on the front porch. This causes me to get multiple notifications on my phone for the doorbell. Most of the time it’s not a big deal and I just ignore it, but once in a while it’s ridiculous, like today we have furniture delivery, so I’m getting a notification like every 10 seconds for half an hour, literally.

Other than turning off notifications in the phone settings, is there a quick disable option in the app that I can just turn off and on with a toggle or something? I looked around but I didn’t see anything.

Namely the rln36

Windows 10 and 11 have a standard driver for connecting up a touchscreen monitor via usb. Please add this to your nvrs (guessing they run linux) or write such a driver.

It would make it so much easier to control the nvr directly because we can mount a monitor to the wall in the hallway as we walk past it and we wouldn't need a table for the mouse and keyboard.

I don't like the app because its not native amd the screen is too small for monitoring multiple cameras at once
