Bedsharing with a toddler....new baby coming

About a month ago my husband and I gave up on the bedtime struggle and we pretty much bed share every night with our 3 year old now. From the start we never co slept ..He slept in his own bassinet, crib, toddler bed etc until about 2 months ago... And then it started turning into a huge struggle that was breaking our hearts and his.

Anyways.... We are due with our second in August. Baby will sleep in their bassinet in our room.

For anyone that has had a similar situation.... How do we make this work? Should one of us try to sleep in the toddler's room....he usually insists on sleeping in our room in the middle of the night. We plan on taking shifts with baby anyways. Do we just pray toddler will sleep through baby's nighttime wakings?

I know I sound like an idiot, this just wasn't what I envisioned for the newborn phase ...but I'm not willing to kick our toddler out of our bed at this point.

Budget is $3000. Looking for a Cali King.

I am currently 280 lb, but pregnant. Pre-pregnancy I was. 220. +My husband (180 lb)

We are both side sleepers. I have a history of upper back problem and starting to get hip pain too. We've been sleeping on a Casper (7 years old) and it's killing me.

I like firm (he has no preference)...but I've been reading firm isn't great for a side sleeper.

Wanting something I can buy in a store with a good return policy (ie. They come pick it up).

Moms with 2 kids....if your water broke early befor your due date but you weren't in active labor yet, did the same thing happen with your 2nd?

With my 1st, my water broke 38+1. But I was only 1cm...got pitocin but never got passed 5cm over the course of 36 hours...so I had a C-section. Just wondering if it's likely my water will break before labor this time too.
