Changing careers and want to pursue my future and passion, but constantly getting rejection letters. I am approaching 40, and I am scared of my life.

Hi everyone, I am not having any luck securing my career path and all. I am changing industries after almost 20 years in Retail, but I want to go into Aerospace/Defense. However, I am encountering many challenges, especially the rejection letters, which have impacted and slowed my progress. I have a Master's degree, but I am not using it.

I've been getting interviews with the big Aerospace/Defense companies, but then I get rejection letters after the interview. It has affected my mental health, and the fact that I want to go for a better future is not going to be possible.

Also, I am scared as I approach 40, and it's scary to think I am not where I want to be. I want to be an Aerospace Technician/Engineering Technician to build rockets and fighter jets, but I keep hitting many barriers and don't know what to do or where to turn.

I am trying with a focus group, but they meet once a week, and I need to move faster. I am scared that my life is not where I want it to be, and I want to be part of a program that is building rockets to go to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

I don't know what to do. I am super scared.

Career change from Retail to Aerospace Technician/ Engineering at 40? Going thru a dilemma.

Hi everyone I am in the middle of a huge transition of my life and I want to change everything. Also I am approaching 40 and I am getting scared.

I currently work in retail been working for 18 years but I dont want to do Retail anymore. I am exhausted and tired of it. I want to go for my passion and my career which is Aerospace/ Defense and want to work for NASA, DoD Space. To build and launch Rockets, fighter jets. To work on the Space Coast FL but I am open to Alabama, Texas and California.

I currently have a masters degree in STEM, I am an AIAA member along with being a member of the Florida Engineering Society. And I do go to SpaceCom in Orlando. I was there this year.

The thing is I am applying and I had about 20 or so interviews with Boeing, Northrop, Jacobs/ Amentum but they said I have great qualifications but that they went with someone else? Which it defeats me alot, its like I am always losing?

I know I am nontraditional but I think NASA hires for many departments or I could be wrong?

I dont know what to do, how am I going to deal with? I dont know to take out more student loans or what exactly?

Also not sure if this is the right place for this or not?

I am excited of Star Fox's return but what about F-Zero?

I am super excited of Star Fox's return and that is awesome considering the fact I love Star Fox's 64 and that game is a timeless classic. But I am hopeful for F-Zero to come back in a big way.

Also I am going back to school to study engineering so I can be in my field of building rockets and spaceships.

Anyways what do yall think?

Hi everyone I been working in retail for almost 18 years of my life but I dont want to be in retail anymore. Retail has always been a survival job to me. As I pursued my education and sadly which I had different majors at the time because I didnt had a mentor to give me a map for things. Such as education, art, pilot training. And it has affected my financial aid sadly.

It took me a long time of my life to know what I want to do and by the time I started my masters degree i knew what I wanted to do, I want to join NASA and build and launch rockets along with fighter jets and all. I want to go for my passion to work on Rockets and Space. I have a Masters degree by the way.

I been applying to the Aerospace companies even for their career fairs but it hasn't been successful even with some interviews I had, I get rejection letters which brought my entire future into a question mark.

But the thing is that I am not near where i want to be which is the Space Coast. And doing my best to start my next chapter.

I am almost 40 and its scaring me how old I am and that i want to achieve my goals of working with NASA and its partners building awesome rockets and launching them. I am not sure if its possible or not with what I have? Or is it a long way to go?

I feel awful that I want to achieve my goals yet running into issues.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I too late or slow in life?

Hi everyone, I am a frequent Brightline rider because I go to Orlando a lot for UCF "Go, Knights!" events and other trips. My Brightline ride experience is amazing. I love the frequent service; if I miss one train, I can rebook for another. Also, the discounts are great. Yes, the tickets are expensive, but it's better than just taking the car, and now even more since Gas Prices have skyrocketed.

Anyway, I am worried about Brightline's bankruptcy and the possibility that it could be gone. Even though they have Expansions in the works to Tampa, Jacksonville, and more stations to add in Cocoa, Fort Pierce, and more. But I am scared that it could end up like a recent Airline I won't name here for respect that went out of business.

I am worried and sad that this is happening. And I am in the process of relocating and changing careers.

What do y'all think of the service? Will it Survive? What can I do? I want Brightline to succeed and its Brightline West Rail Service to start and expand.

Hi everyone. Anyways I had an awakening in recent years but the issue is I been working in retail for the past 18 years of my life but its time for me to move on and go for my true passion which is Aerospace/ Defense.

I also have a masters degree in Aerospace (STEM) and have worked on some Aerospace projects for my university and NASA.

I been wanting to join NASA and the Space Program since I was a kid and to build and launch rockets.

But I didnt know that i had alot of capabilities and potential as I got my bachelor's was in management and then my masters in Aerospace and now going to go for engineering but i feel like I dont know if I am doing it right or not?

I didnt had guidance in my life and retail is the only thing I had at the time before getting my degrees. And as I got into Aerospace I unlocked my passion and I had an awakening.

Now I don't know if I messed up my life or not or how to transition from Retail to Aerospace and engineering? I hope this is ok to post on here?

Good evening everyone! I am trying to apply for Siemens mobility, I am in the U.S. in Florida, open to relocate and want to help build Amtrak's Airo sets along with its new long distance trains. I have a Masters degree in Aerospace (STEM but not engineering).

Basically be a technician, engineering adjacent positions. I am open to relocate to California.

I been applying to the major Aerospace companies but I get rejection letters and I feel like my future is screwed or is it a possibility?

Is there anyone I can reach out to that works in Siemens Mobility? I want to grow more into engineering.
