Hit my first 20 active players for my solo action-strategy hybrid! 👊
Hey everyone,
I’m a solo developer and I just hit a small but exciting milestone—20 active installs on my first project, BIC: First Punch.
The chart (attached) shows my progress over the last week. Seeing that "Install Base" climb and hold steady is a great feeling after the grind of development.
About the game:
BIC:FP is a focused, third-person action fighting game. I wanted to move away from button-mashing and complex combos, so I built the system entirely around timing, reactions, and close-range combat. You have to read the opponent and block/strike at the exact right moment.
What the data is telling me:
Update Spikes: You can see some activity in the orange "Updates" line. I've been pushing improvements to the combat feel and interaction systems based on initial feedback, and it looks like current players are actually downloading those patches.
Stability: The install base isn't dropping off immediately, which gives me hope that the core "timing-based" loop is engaging enough to keep people around for more than one fight.
