I picked up the fire red and this thing is orange/gold at best. Looked different online than what I see in person. Do they make an actual red mirrored visor?

1st time rider with a new 2026 cbr650. I’ve taken my safety course and got all the basic gear. What things should I consider starting out? All advice is welcome. Happy riding!

I would appreciate any advice or recommendations on which bike to get.

I’m a 35 year old 1st time rider. I’m 6’2” tall and weigh around 200-210 lbs.

Looking at new 650cc sports bikes.

I’ve read and been told that I would grow out of anything 500cc or lower quickly. That while 650cc is more than a beginner really needs it’s still within the LAMS range and I can grow with it easily.

I considered purchasing used as I know I will most likely lay it down at some point, but the price difference of used compared to new is marginal at best. I would prefer having a warranty and the knowledge that nobody has dropped it or run it into the ground.

The 2 best offers I’ve received are below as well as what I like most about each.

2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition: $8.9k out the door

Price is great and everything I’ve read/been told has said this is the most comfortable ride. I couldn’t tell that much of a difference when sitting on it but haven’t been able to take any out on a test drive to really tell.

2026 Honda cbr650: $10.9k out the door

This has the classic look I love and I like the eclutch feature.

Appreciate all comments, suggestions, or anything else to think about in advance
