Is this a good deal?
I’m going to look at this and want to make a deal on it. It has 24.5k miles and has no problems and looks garage kept. He “doesn’t know” if the single previous owner adjusted valves.
offer 5k?
My new (to me) cbr <3
Love this cbr but lets talk about why the resr footpegs are SUCH A PAIN TO REMOVE?!?!?! My r6 was a 2 minute job- my jaw dropped when I watched a tutorial for the cbr. Im ready to grab an angle grinder 🤣🤣
I let my best friend ride my fireblade and he “totaled”it so I rebuilt it (story)
As the title says I let my best friend of 6 years ride my fireblade and he dumped it leaving a parking lot. It flipped over once and blew the stator cover open (so I thought)
Tore the bike apart to find an entire chunk of my engine case broke off along with lots of miscellaneous parts on the bike. Over the span of 3 months I tore the bike to the frame had the engine case rewelded up and fixed some of the ghetto things 17 year old me did to it. And as of 2 days ago I finally finished my fireblade. I’m so happy and proud of myself for tearing down and rebuilding a bike mostly on my own (yes my friend paid for about 90% of all the fixes)
Okay this is not entirely related to the group but when I posted in earlier today about a cbr yall gave a LOT of feedback basically everyone telling me not to start out of a brand new bike and get something used and cheap and I did take those replies into consideration I think I may of found the best of both worlds (if it’s legit 😂) There are these Chinese brands I keep seeing somewhere that they are Chinese brands at least and they ship their bikes fully assembled and all there bikes from 250cc-450cc are under 6k but then again they come shipped and aren’t very big brands I’ve heard people prefer the CF MOTO over the venom. I do really like these they have the exact look I’m wanting at the price I’m wanting. Let me know your thoughts (kindly please) and what you know about these brands😁
My Dad built a unique 92' CBR 600 F2 out of 3 wrecked bikes
A bit of history on the build, My dad is somebody who HAS to build something to keep himself busy. One day way back in 2016 he came across a wrecked 92' 600 and decided that he could get it to run again and better than before. Over the course of several years (working on and off the bike) he combined the 92' CBR 600 F2 chassis with a F3 motor swapped in, the front end (forks, triple tree, brakes, wheel) from a 2007 GSXR 600 and the swingarm from a 1990 VFR750. Along with that while he left the clutch lever and grip is from the CBR alone the right is from a Yamaha he had lying around. To continue to push the build further he custom made the tail section of the bike and included sequential turn signals.
After he completed it around 2021 he test drove it about 5 miles and put it away in a garage he frequented, dismantling it to "save" the bike from others that would probably ride and abuse it. Now here's where I come in. About 3 weeks ago I got curious about the whereabouts of this bike, one thing led to another and I made a combined 1800 mile / 30+ hour trip to go get the bike from him with plans to ride it and enjoy his work that he put in, as he put it himself "it makes me happy to have saved the bike for you, just go over everything and ride safely". As of yesterday I was able to rebuild the bike and get it started up with very minor problems. I'll continue to do my proper checks on the bike as my left hand is recovering from a broken pinky bone (work related) after which I'll take the MSF course and proudly ride the bike!
2 years of ownership couldn't be happier
My baby a 2024 cbr500r aka babyblade. Honda had no reason to make a starter bike look this good
Is this WACK?
How do you all feel about this design? I think i want to put more lines but I dont know forsure and if I do I dont know where i should put them. i think I want to add tank pads but havent found ones that i really like yet if yall have any suggestions on what ones. Also does anyone know of reflective tape like this that might bend or stretch better this stuff looks horrible up close lol (ignore the protruding red gas cap that was just the roll of tape sitting there😂)
I bought my 04rr in February on 27k and have already put almost 4k miles on it since then…what sort of mileage are these good for if well maintained? It came with no history but I dropped the oil the other day and was planning to change every 3-4k, I guess I’m after some encouragement from fellow redditors as I’m getting paranoid about putting too many miles on it even though I love going out on it 😅
New fairings
Ordered these shitty ebay fairings I thought I would be able to get away with them, but turns out I need to return them and go with an actual decent brand. Probably gonna go with monster fairings as I’ve heard the most about them fitting properly, but just wanted to get some second opinions and also show off the new look. Here’s a before and after, as you can see on the first pic the new grey fairings do not fit very well lol
I’m thinking about getting the cbr 650 with the e clutch as my first bike does anybody recommend that or have any suggestions. Also I’m debating if I should finance and buy it not or wait till I’m 18 (I’m 17) to finance it and build my credit with it and if anybody knows any cheap GOOD quality gear i should get let me know. I’m only looking at boots, a jacket, a helmet, and gloves. My state’s minimum gear requirement is saftey goggles
Just did it
So i pulled the trigger on this last night ! I can't wait to get on it ....new to riding and this is new to me .....I bought it to commute to work
Wanted to share my baby and was wondering how the new bikes compare?
Looking for a more comfortable bikes for city and long trips
I currently ride a Honda CBR650R, but I’m starting to find it a bit uncomfortable for longer trips.
I’ve been looking for something more comfortable and practical, and the Honda NC750X caught my eye. The upright position, better wind protection, and extra practicality seem like a good fit.
Has anyone switched from a sport bike to the NC750X or something similar? Is it much better for long rides and commuting, or should I consider other options?
I wont sell my CBR650R, just need something more casual and comfortable.
My budget is around 6k to 7k euros.
Thanks.
How can I raise the handlebars on my CBR650R for a more comfortable riding position?
Hey everyone,
I’ve got a Honda CBR650R and I love the bike overall, but I’m finding the riding position a bit too aggressive on longer rides. My wrists and lower back start to feel it after a while, so I’m looking for ways to make it more comfortable.
I was wondering what options are available to raise the handlebars a bit or bring them closer. Are handlebar risers a good solution for this bike, and if so, are there any specific brands or setups you’d recommend? Also, are there any downsides I should be aware of (like cable length issues or changes in handling)?
If anyone has done a comfort-focused setup on the CBR650R, I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for you.
Thanks in advance!
Finally joined the family
