We “dated” for a very short time and it was rlly only one date so it’s not like it was serious at all. We broke up very mutually at the end of last year. We’re in the same friend group and she’s one of my best friends. She texts and hangs out with me outta the group, and she’s kinda known for not responding. I don’t want to make things awkward but I think there’s a chance she might like me again.

I’m not really sure how to write, especially start, a confession letter tho. I want to tell her I like her but still value our friendship, and I’ll def add personal details abt why I like her and stuff but I just can’t get past the first sentence.

TLDR: how to write confession letter

So me (18f) and my friend L (17f) “dated” (we had the label but the most we ever got to was a date and holding hands) like the end of last year. We stayed friends since it was a very mutual break up, I don’t think either of us were rlly feeling the relationship. My main friend group is her plus 3 of our friends so we’re very close, went to each others proms (with other friends), text quite a bit even tho she’s known for ghosting ppl, I’m probably the person she speaks to most besides her long distance bsf so I’m also the person she hangs out with most.

I want to write her a letter to explain that I still have feelings for her because I do think there’s a (kinda small) chance she might like me again. But I don’t really know how to open it. I want to tell her I like her but still am cool being just friends. I can write pretty well but how do I open?
