The "Essential Service" Hostage Situation: Real Labor vs. The Racket 🚂💼

Look, let’s get one thing straight: being pro-union means supporting fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right for honest people to build a good life. It does not mean running a collective protection bracket for a handful of grifters who treat a vital public utility like their personal offshore casino.
There is a massive difference between fighting for the working class and holding an entire region’s infrastructure hostage so a few bad actors can clock 28 hours in a 24-hour day from a golf course.
Collective Bargaining vs. Collective Gaslighting
When an entire regional economy relies on a train system to function, that system isn’t a luxury—it’s a load-bearing pillar of daily life. Turning a blind eye to blatant fraud doesn't protect the labor movement; it actively degrades it.
The Commuter Tax: The irony is staggering. The actual working-class people—the ones waking up at 5:00 AM, riding the rails, and paying surging ticket prices—are the ones funding the fictional overtime of the guys who didn't even bother to show up to clear the tracks. That’s not solidarity; it’s a shakedown.
The 1% of the Rank-and-File: We aren't talking about the honest mechanics and conductors doing the heavy lifting. We are talking about a specific, entitled cartel of badge-cloning entrepreneurs who realized they could exploit union protections as a bulletproof vest against basic accountability.
Essential Means Essential: If a service is critical enough that the entire tri-state area grinds to a halt without it, it should be completely immune to this kind of administrative mafia behavior. You shouldn't get to invoke labor rights to protect your right to rob the public blind from a bowling alley.

You can absolutely stand with the labor movement and still believe that if you use a cloned ID card to skip out on an essential public safety shift, you belong in a federal mugshot, not a protected pension bracket. Protecting the integrity of the system means cleaning out the parasites who give the entire concept of a union a bad name. 🛑📉
