Is this not cross hatching?
I’m confused - is this not cross hatching? This looks almost identical (in person) to what I did on the practice block yesterday

I posted yesterday asking for advice on cylinder honing and got some fantastic advice. Just wanted to thank you all for the quick and thoughtful advice and pointers. Now posting the final product. Turned out pretty consistent from cylinder to cylinder.
I switched to ATF and felt like I got more consistent results and better lubrication.
Now time to wash the block and get this build going!
I am flex honing a BMW N55 engine block that I am rebuilding ahead of installing a new set of OEM piston rings (keeping same pistons) because my understanding is that the new rings will not seat properly on glazed cylinder walls. I’m using a 320 grit silicon carbide hone.
Thankfully, I have a used block to practice on before honing the block I am rebuilding.
I’m using 10W-30 oil per the instructions and trying to achieve ~100 strokes/minute at a setting of 500-800 rpm.
It’s hard for me to tell if my cross hatching looks like it should. I know it’s supposed to be at a 45 degree angle, but this looks a little flat to me even though it looks similar to the remaining cross hatching I can still see in the unhoned cylinders.
How am I doing? Any constructive feedback would be appreciated. I have 3 other cylinders to practice on.
I have a 10 zone residential system and many of the zones have these light gray threaded couplers. They all have a small hole in the side. Many of them ‘leak’ water - some more than others. This is an example of one of the worst ones. Some of them don’t leak at all.
