(Zone 5a) HELP. What’s next?
Kentucky blue grass. Applied triclopyr late October ( creeping Charlie infestation, both neighbors don’t care for their lawn and trimec did jack squat last year) Since I missed first fertilizer application this year I did triclopyr again for the weeds and remaining charlie a week ago. Front yard is atrocious (backyard looks a bit better in the far back. Greenish and growing, couple spots of cc but barely sprouted/ no flowers). Seeded last year with some theisens KBG (second to last pic) ai said it was white clover.
Last pic is up close of worst part. Front strip between neighbor driveway and my walkway. Raked pretty decently and watered after (the front strip) looked a bit better the next two days but haven’t had much rain lately here so I don’t know if it’s still somewhat dormant from lack of water or if it’s just ded jim.
Is seeding now viable for Midwest/5a I know seeding is best in fall for cool season. I don’t want to look at garbage/dirt the whole summer. (First pic gets barely any shade btw)
Course of action? Scott’s Weed n feed? Slow release milogranite? And then over seed early fall in later sept? Then a crabgrass preventer in oct?
(7th pic is where I stopped last year with triclopyr, was dark out and was lazy and regret not doing it)
There’s some crazy roots to pull up from cc on the surface on pic 6 but it’s technically neighbors yard but I’m sure they don’t care since they haven’t even mowed. Oversprayed the triclopyr in both neighbors yard a bit last year for the cc (hence the patches in pic 6) redline is roughly the property line in 7. Other neighbor I oversprayed is pic 5 and is bare by their house so triclopyr did its job as expected for cc.
