Hi folks! From chennai I have been on Hinge for 5+ months with exactly zero matches so naturally I've had a lot of time to reflect on life.
Genuine question though what are people actually swiping for here?
Because from my pov,
If I focus on personality and write thoughtful comments, it's silence
If I just shoot my shot based on looks, also silence
If I try to balance both like a well adjusted human believe it or not, still silence
So now I'm wondering... is this just a looks first game and personality is a bonus? Or do people say they care about personality but still decide in 0.3 seconds based on the first photo?
No judgment either way, just trying to understand the rules of the game I'm clearly losing.
At this point I'd even appreciate a rejection just to confirm I exist in the algorithm.
