I’m curious how much truth there is to this! I just had my second 7 weeks ago and a lot of my family, friends, and even doctors have said second kids hit milestones faster (like crawling, walking, talking, even potty training).

Was this true for your second or subsequent kids? Or were they about the same (or later) than your first?

I’m honestly so over postpartum and ready to be healed and done. This is my second and it just feels like I can never have a normal postpartum. I’m so jealous of people that feel back to normal quickly!

I’m 7 weeks postpartum (almost 8) and still dealing with daily pain. My 2nd degree tear did not heal, and at some point the stitches failed so I have an open 2cm perineal tear that I’m still waiting to be seen about (I went through midwives, and they had to refer me to an OB but at the time 4 weeks was the earliest I could get it in - I’m about 2 weeks away from my appointment). I don’t know if it’s the tear, pads, or something else but I’ve been having pain strictly on my left side - not internally but more on the crease where your leg and pubic area meet. It’s excruciating sometimes and some days I end up taking ibprofen to help. Activity makes it worse, so I’m still being very careful about my daily activity and to make it worse baby wearing is completely out of question - which makes having a 3.5 year old and 7 week old so difficult. Plus, my perineal tear does start hurting if I’m too active. And too active for me is a light walk.

I’ve tried looking to see if I can figure out what’s causing the pain and I have no idea. I am definitely numb on my left side of my vagina, so I wonder if maybe I had some nerve damage? The midwives thought it was the tear but that doesn’t make sense to me because of the location of the tear vs the location of the pain. Honestly, I don’t even care anymore. I’m just so exhausted by 7 weeks of daily pain.

I’m just venting. It’s so frustrating that I’m still in this much pain and no one seems to be taking me seriously about it. I had a lot of pain after my first that also lasted a while, but nothing like this.

My 7 week old is SUCH A FREAKING MESSY EATER! I think I have quite a strong let down, he unlatches a lot and ends up spraying milk every where or will just unlatch and let it drip. I end up soaked in milk (even with a burp cloth tucked under), he is often soaked him milk, and I go through so many burp cloths.

I didn’t have this issue with my first. I was “just enougher” with her, so I don’t think it was really a thing. When the heck will I be able to nurse without such a huge mess? Leaving the house is so frustrating because everything ends up drenched in milk and then I end up smelling like spoiled milk. Hate it.
