When a planet is in a sign different from the sign of the house it is in… how does this effect reading?

Let me use an example.

In a natal chart, using Placidus or Equal sign house systems, the 12th house is Cancer and the 1st house is Leo (Leo Ascendant). Jupiter is in Leo in the 12th house. I want to confirm that Jupiter is still considered to be in the 12th house, right? Assuming yes:

Will Jupiter manifest in a more Cancerian way since it is in the 12th house which is in Cancer? Or more Cancerian than it would be if than if Jupiter fell in first house Leo? What if it’s right on the cusp between Cancer and Leo? What if it is 10 degrees (or greater) Leo but still falls in the 12th house?

How does this influence interpretation?

What’s a good way to think about this?

(I’m asking in general for any planet whose sign is a different sign than the house it is in, not just this specific example. Though insight on this specific example also welcome.)

I understand signs, houses, and planetary influences pretty well.

I guess I do have the same question about transit charts as well, since it happens there also, but much newer to learning about transits and aspects.

Thanks for any insight or resources! :-)

Potential nanny here with lots of previous nannying experience and references.

I am wondering if there are families out there with young or immunocompromised children who would see it as a benefit to have a nanny that was avoiding most crowds and masking when in crowds?

I imagine there must be families who would see this as a plus instead of a disadvantage. There must be some households out there who are still masking in crowds as well, especially with babies, I would assume.

Any advice on how to match with such a family? Where to look?

What are good sources of information to know when a planet is transiting a specific degree?

So if, for example, I wanted to know when specifically Mars was next transiting 8 degrees Gemini, where could I go to look that up? What about if I wanted to know the last 10 times Mars transited 8 degrees Gemini and the next 10 times?

Hoping there is a website out there that has degree transiting charts or something.
