New to astrology what app should I start with?

Okay, I’m completely new to astrology and honestly a little overwhelmed There are so many apps claiming they have the “most accurate” birth charts, daily transits, compatibility readings, etc. Some people swear by certain apps while others say they’re totally off.

If you had to recommend just ONE astrology app for a beginner in 2026, what would it be and why? I’m looking for something that’s easy to understand but still accurate enough to actually learn from. Bonus points if it explains placements instead of just throwing random predictions at me.

What app got you seriously into astrology?

Pluto Retrograde

I’ve been hearing a lot about Pluto retrograde and how it can feel like part of you is stuck in the past, while your nervous system hasn’t fully adjusted to the new version of yourself yet. Associated with deep internal transformation, revisiting old patterns, fears, attachments, and emotional baggage so you can finally process and release them.

I’m writing this post because I genuinely want to learn more about Pluto retrograde and hear from people who understand it better and can break it down in a way that’s easier to understand, not just for me, but for others who are also hearing about it. I’ve been trying to reconnect and become more aligned with the universe the way I used to be, and I want to make sure I’m truly understanding the signs and messages the universe may be sending me.

Hi! Hope you’re doing well🥰

I don’t really know much about astrology. But I find it really interesting, and I would love to learn more about it from experts!💗

I not sure about where to start! There is just so much information, terminologies, and sources. It seems kinda intimidating and overwhelming😩(Especially for someone who has no idea about anything😅)

I just know that I’m a Sagittarius sun, Cancer moon, and Gemini rising (I don’t even know what that fully means lol)

I would also love to hear about how you got into/how it helped you with understanding yourself and such. (Only if you’re comfortable with sharing ofc💕)

Hi,

I got into astrology a few years ago just scratching the surface and now for a few months, decide to really learn and comprehend things but I’m still having my doubts so I will exposed them, if someone got an opinion please have a go :

  1. because some astrologers claims that something in a chart can be predicted down to the exact day and time and others claim it’s more general indication of what can happen during the transits if you do the work.

2.feel like astrologers claims the same things each months for transits “we have never saw that” and it’s always goes both ways “work toward yourself” “work toward others”

  1. What about the homeless ? The one with incurable disease ? Would you look at them and say “yeah things will get better” but they’ve been outside for like 20 years ? Can you still say what might happen in 10 years during a transit if you don’t know the person will die before that ?

4.on a more personal note, every readings I got was wrong (got my birth certificate so info are correct) it’s been wrong since the time I got interest in astrology and always repeating the same things.

  1. What if you give directions according to someone chart and the person don’t resonate with what you say ? For example reading told me I chould work in law, conseling , psycho, customers service…I hate people. If I have to do a job where I need to do customers service I will not do it.

  2. The différents astrology systems. Sidéral, tropical, Vedic, western (am confused because some are the same but with multiple names ?) how ? Whole signs and placidus can change your entire birth chart, will you say the same things ?

Thats all I can think of for now but some things don’t ad up so I don’t know

Hello, I'm still very new to astrology. And I wanted to ask is it normal for things to be delayed in a Saturn return? Is just alot going on recently and I'm already one year unemployed and I'm planning to move out of my house from one year now, and things seem to always be delayed, I don't if this is normal if it is a lesson.

Thank you very much for the help!

hii everyone

ive been getting into astrology recently and im trying to figure out my natal chart and how it works. ive used different websites and even tried using chatgpt (ik it isn't the most accurate thing to use for research and stuff). my chatgpt is adamant that my rising is a specific one. I asked multiple questions and it kept giving me the same answer and the same reason why. ive had different answers on other sites however and there are 2 main signs that kept popping up repeatedly from each website that ive used. I ended up asking chatgpt why I get different answers from other sites and it claimed that bc im from the southern hemisphere and was born in a city that is really south in the globe (johannesburg, south africa) that the sites might not be as accurate for me bc they're based on "more northern hemisphere places" the placements would thus differ from mine at specific times bc of that, and that in joburg the rising signs can last up to 2 hours or so. is there anything that can help me accurately figure out my natal chart?

**extras: I did research before I posted this and found that it is time and location sensitive so I honestly doubt I can accurately figure out my natal chart on a website. so is there any way to figure it out as accurately as possible ??

Tight Conjunctions with Lunar Nodes

I have read about what the nodes indicate. I saw an analogy of the north node being the mouth of a dragon, while the south node is the area of waste, near the tail end.

I noticed that Indian/Vedic astrologers tend to associate the nodes as the NN being the present life and the SN as a past life or something related to the past. Plus, I've seen interpretations of the 12 house representing past lives because it's directly behind the 1 house.

I was born with both my sun and south node in an exact conjunction, both the same degrees.

Have you ever seen a close conjunction with the nodes and how would you interpret it?

Hello everyone!

I’m new to astrology and have decided to embark on the journey of learning it but in doing so I’ve kinda hit my first road block of choosing a house system and zodiac type to use (I think I’ve settled on starting with western tropical for now), I’ve been looking at the differences between all the house systems and their setup of quadrant vs non quadrant and also looked at what they’re primarily used for but I’m still having trouble deciding on which house system to use since they all have a little something different but also have some disadvantages (like pole distortion causing intercepted houses) so I was wondering if anyone can share what made them decide the type of zodiac (Vedic vs tropical) and house system they choose to learn and the reason for choosing it? I think seeing how different astrologers use and apply them in practice might help me decide which to start with.
And if you can recommend some good books or YouTube channels that might by of help in understanding the various house systems and how their used/applied or interpreted that would also be great!

Thank you in advance 😊🙏

Edit: this is a repost since it was in the wrong thread. TY

What does it mean when an astrologer says for example: as a Scorpio, Uranus is transiting 8th house but in my chart it's in the 6th house?

For example: Scorpios, Uranus is transiting the 8th house and goes on to list 8th house themes. But I'll look at my natal chart and its actually in my 6th house for now. These will be general uranus in Gemini videos on YouTube.

I want to learn astrology from the very basic as the title suggests I do not know anything about astrology. So what books should I study at first or which you tube channel I should follow. Tia!

I was born on May 1, 1988 under a Scorpio Full Moon, and this year my birthday falls on a Scorpio Full Moon again for the first time since I was born.

Using Whole Sign houses, my natal Scorpio Moon and Pluto are in my twelfth house, so this feels especially intense and symbolic to me. Almost like a major subconscious/emotional cycle coming full circle.

I’m curious how astrologers would interpret a Full Moon in the same sign and on the same birthday as the natal lunation. Has anyone experienced something similar, especially with strong twelfth-house Scorpio placements?
