Alisa: "Mishy Panic" (by yamu)

2025 Art Commission Collection #36

Today's featured entry is Alisa, in her "Magical Girl Alisa" attire. As someone who thoroughly enjoyed Tokyo Xanadu and its many clever Trails cameos, I was really looking forward to this concept.

The artist did such an awesome job with this illustration, and it was a pleasure to work with them.

2025 Art Commission Collection #35

Greetings, r/gravityrush. This is the 35th post in a larger fan art commissioning project that I started last year with the goal of celebrating video game franchises (primarily the Trails series), their fans, and the artists who enrich our experiences as fans. Today's featured entry is Kat from Gravity Rush.

After agreeing on the character choice, I allowed the artist to define all other aspects of the composition. I haven't played the Gravity Rush games myself since they are exclusive to consoles that I neither have nor want, but from what I have seen of the games, I believe that the artist adequately captured the essence of the character with this illustration. The free-falling concept made for a great piece of art, and the masterful lighting effects truly elevate the composition.

Today's featured entry is Angelica. This was a prompt from another friend of mine.

The artist explained to me that this painting was created with the grisaille technique. I'm not an artist myself, but it was enjoyable to see the process unfold via a time-lapse video. Overall, a very unique artwork for the collection.

Today's featured entry is Elliot & Olivert. As a pianist myself, this composition was low-hanging fruit.

Props to the artist on this one. Very pretty result!
