How to help my left-handed self-taught mother learn new crochet patterns?

My 72-year-old mom has recently taught herself how to crochet to make a baby blanket for my kid, and since then, has basically been on a baby blanket-making spree. She's made like 8 of them. She says that crocheting helps keep her hands and mind busy. The problem is that she only knows how to make blankets and there's only so many of them a baby needs (yes we have been donating them to others now). She wants to learn to make other things, like bags and stuffies, but she really struggles with following instruction videos. Is there any video or book you all would recommend for a left-handed beginner crochetist?

I just have to rant. I have been a fairly 'normal seeming' autistic person (so I think) most of my life. I didn't even realise I was autistic till a few years ago, at around 40 years old. I have managed to keep moderate social requirement jobs. And while some people would describe me as slightly awkward or a bit weird, I 'pass' as NT. But oh my God, nothing makes my autism come out as the fake hugging, cheek kissing, and chatting we are expected to do work with women who we are not actually friends and often don't even like. What is this BS!? If I don't like you, I am NOT going to pretend I do. I will be business only. Formal. Polite. But I do not want to hug you FFS! Just tell me what you want, I'll tell you if I can do it, and piss off! We both know we aren't friends! Why the pretence!
