Which one looks better? Tapestry crochet for a poutch

so i made these charts for a gift to my bf (app name:my row counter)

i realized now my first mistake and that is the uneven sides, right has only one white row meanwhile left has two, I'll fix it by taking or adding a line.

but my question now is which "U" is better?

with 3 stitches at bottom, or the one with 1 stitch?

oh here's my second mistake, "I" should be 1 stitch shorter from top.

please lemme know if you can see any other mistakes or things to adjust/fix

I crocheted a bee, and now I’m seeing on the wings but theyre too floppy, what do I do?

The wings are made of two circles of 48 stitches that I slip stitched togetger. The thread I’m using to see them on is connected to the wing itself.

looking for this specific table runner pattern - i refuse to buy it off amazon

after google lens-ing the heck out of every picture i could find, all that shows up is just listings of this & other similar table runners

i am in love with this pattern and would so rather make it myself than support the pathetic chinese company selling it on amazon/aliexpress💔💔

i’ve searched on ravelry, vintagepatterns, and all sorts of reddit forums and image posts

here’re the amazon links for closer pictures:

Trying to figure out how to make a beak for a giant penguin?

My friend made me a gigantic Roald plush (from animal crossing) she wasn't 100% sure on how to do the beak. I have him now and he's fantastic and my favorite plush but still beakless. I've attached pictures and just wanted to see if anyone has some suggestions on how I can do a beak for him?

(crotchet project is the last picture)

My Last Update Post Regarding the Snow Lily Blanket and My Awkward Color Choices

The pattern is Jane Snedden Peever's Snow Lily Blanket. I was having issues with choosing colors for the hexagons. I settled on these 3, and I have to make a 4th one so each hexagon will have 4 different variations within their own color scheme. I think the worst is behind me now lmao! I wanted to let you all know that the blanket is finally coming together! In 8 months (lol), I'll post the finished object in the sister r/crochet subreddit. Thank you all for your help! ❤️

How do I avoid this when joining the last and first stitches?

Hey everyone, been learning how to crochet for a few weeks now and I recently learned to join each Round with a slip+chain but then this happens, am I making it too loose? or is this just a regular thing that happens?

What Shape Should I Make My Cardigan Sleeves ? The front and back of my Cardigans are just rectangles

attempting my first cardigan, i only have experience with Amigurumi, a blanket and a beanie

i've got one large panel of 101x96 (the backside)

and two panels for the front of 101x40 (I plan to add ribbing and a zip to connect the two parts)

my question is, since my pieces are just rectangles, how do I work on the sleeve?

do I make another rectangle?

I want ribbing at the end of the sleeve soooo... it should be getting smaller... I think?

a drop shoulder shape?

or do I stick with rectangles?

also, I know I need some space for the collar so wish me luck I gotta redo the neck part. I'm scared of the collar too lol...and pockets.... My c

Will I need to frog or trust the process? Edges look wobbly!

This is the tulip sweater from realm designs! I love the patter but I can’t help but notice the edges are super wobbly. Is this normal? This is my first larger crochet piece so I’m not sure if I need to just trust the process or if I’m doing something wrong. I was hoping it would get covered up with the ribbing but I’m not so sure!

Can I fix this? I didn’t make this but it looks like it was crocheted, I really like this sweater and I’d like to try and fix it if possible.

What do I do with these 4 skeins? I grossly misjudged what I’d need.

I’m still a newbie, only started in January. Since then, I’ve made a few roses, a regular scarf, an infinity scarf, and a dog sweater.

So I *thought* I was going to make a blanket using this, I had seen something that you would need 880 yds of weight 5 yarn to do so, hence the 4 skeins I bought. Well, that was a lie. I got 5.25” out of 1 skein and don’t feel like needing 13 more to do my blanket, so I’m calling it. No one needs a $140 poorly crocheted blanket.

So what CAN I do with these 4? I can keep the start of my blanket as a scarf if I add some fringe, but can also just frog it.

Fragile wool yarn keeps on breaking/pulling apart; granny hexi cardigan ruined?

I can't even look at this yarn anymore. I got a few skeins of 100% wool from Michael's on clearance (photo of label included). I decided to crochet a hexagonal solid granny cardigan. however, everytime I tied a knot or pulled it tight, the yarn would break off and I would have to tie the broken ends and connect it to the skein again. after a few try ons I finally noticed that the right armpit had a gaping hole in it. I have never used 100% wool before so I wanted to ask, is this breakage normal, or is this yarn not processed correctly? should I have just used a different pattern? and lastly, how do I fix the armpit without breaking anything and prevent further accidents?

Chainless foundation crochet - is it necessary? I can't figure it out.

I cannot, for the life of me, get the hang of the chainless foundation crochet stitch. it just looks awful when I do it.

does it make that much of a difference? I'm hoping to make a shirt and this is how it starts.

Mosaic Blanket, Center Out pattern by Beba starting to twist

I am making a mosaic blanket for my daughter and the starting square has a bit of a twist to it. I think it is from the corner double crochets which I'm not quite able to keep the same height & stitch length on vs the single crochets. Should I keep going or start over? It seems like it might straighten as rows are added. This is my first mosaic crochet project. Any tips are welcome.

I am using weight 4 yarn instead of 2or 3 to finish faster.

My sick kid barfed on my WIP and the skein attached to it. Can it be salvaged? How would you even go about keeping it? I can only imagine the mess that a skein would be after a wash.

I appreciate ANY experience you have with such a thing. <3

How do I change colour when crocheting? I’ve seen different methods

Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on changing colours? I got a small tapestry crochet to try and I understand getting to two loops on hook and changing colour there, but the actual act of changing colour confuses me from there / where to hold various yarn on the back hahaha. I’ve seen some people weave it into the back so they don’t have a “messy” side at the end, and I’ve also seen people cut yarn and do it that way!

Thank you

Help me make a hotdog body pillow! Reference pics attached

I recently made a pizza blanket (the only picture I have is it unfinished but you get the gist) & I decided I want to make a hotdog body pillow to go alongside my pizza!

The dog will be easy - just crocheting in the round until I get the length I want. What I’m not sure about is the bun. I want the bun and dog to be separate pieces, so that I’ll have essentially two pillows, I’m just not sure how I would make the bun.

Any pattern ideas for the bun?

Am I setting myself for failure I've never made a beanie before do I have enough yarn

I'm making a beanie for the first time and I don't feel like I have enough yarn for it I got it from a charity shop and have no idea how much is left or where to get more. Do I just pick a different color and how much yarn do you typically use or do I just risk it 😅
