Study abroad from Australia

Hey everyone, I’m considering doing an exchange program from Australia for your semester starting in April. I just have a question about the semester dates, as our website says the semester goes from April-September and I’ve seen different dates elsewhere. I was hoping to get some clarification on when classes finish and when exams start for this semester ? Thank you!

Planning Student Exchange Abroad from Australia

Hey everyone! I am looking at doing a study abroad semester at the beginning of next year. I am currently attempting to get Canada's IEC work and travel visa for the end of this year/beginning of next year for the snow season but willing to hold off on working depending on where i decide/get accepted for an exchange program.

I am hoping to get some advice or suggestions on where I should look at staying for an exchange. Ideally I either stay in Canada or Europe. Options I have in Canada include UBC (my preferable preference as of now for Canada) UCalgary, Queens University.

As for Europe there are a whole list of countries and Unis so I wont list them all but some that stand out are Munich and Copenhagen.

I am highly attracted to Canada for the outside lifestyle and hiking as well as the fact I might already be there.

For Europe, I recently had a holiday there visiting my friends doing their exchange in Vienna and absolutely loved the social scene there, as well as the ability to travel to surrounding countries, and when weather warms up, have access to hikes in places like Dolomites & Swiss Alps.

Any advice/suggestions/tips are appreciated, even for countries not mentioned, just hoping to get some further opinions. Thank you all!

Hey guys, I am looking at doing an exchange from Australia, and would really like to stay in Canada for the Jan-April Sem 2027. Through my Uni the options I get are simon fraser uni, uni of British Columbia, queens uni and Uni of Calgary.

I would be using my flex units (doesn't need to be course specific, but currently studying a bachelor of Cyber Security). I was hoping to get some insights if UCalgary is a worthwhile uni to use 1 of my 3 preferences on, as I would like to have access to the mountains as the semester ends and goes into summer as I have applied for an IEC to work in Canada and love exploring. I think i am currently leaning towards some where in Vancouver for access to whistler as i like to ski but am not sure if it is worth staying in Vancouver or not.

I would appreciate any and all info. Thanks :)

Hey guys, I am looking at doing an exchange from Australia, and would really like to stay in Vancouver for the Jan-April Sem 2027. Through my Uni the options I get are SFU and UBC for Vancouver specifically. I would be using my flex units (doesn't need to be course specific, but currently studying a bachelor of Cyber Security). I was hoping to get some insights if UBC is a worthwhile uni to use 1 of my 3 preferences on, as I would like to stay in Vancouver for the accessibility to the snow and mountains as the semester ends and goes into summer as I have applied for an IEC to work in Canada and love exploring. I do have options to locations like Calgary which is obviously close by to Banff, but I just can't imagine the social scene would be as good as a uni in Vancouver. I would ideally like to reside somewhere central in Vancouver but also not sure if i have to reside on campus. I would appreciate any and all info. Thanks :)
