Rust? Best Years to Buy (used)?

Hello,

I am a Chevy person. I am going over to the dark side in order to build my camper van on a Ford Transit because I want the high top, and sadly Chevy doesn't do a high top express.

I know all vehicles rust, and I will be spending most of my time in a snowy climate, so rust is inevitable. I'd like to buy something that I can get sprayed with a protector to minimize the bottom rusting out.

That being said, can you please point me towards the best resources for figuring out what years were better than others to buy? Not just for rust but for other things as well.

Basically, please point me towards where I can learn more about how to pick the best van within my price range $20-25k. Bonus points if it talks about rust because I'm really worried about having a rusted out Ford!

Is it possible to keep warm at -30F in winter?

I am thinking of finally doing it, building my own van! The thing is, I don't work fully remote which I'm fine with, so I'll need to spend most of my time in the Twin Cities, MN. The thing about the area is that it gets QUITE cold in January. We're talking -30F for days on end.

I am considering installing the VELIT Gasoline/Diesel Air Heater. But I am wondering if it's even possible to stay warm in a van at -30F even with that kind of heater?

Do I need a full fire / pellet heater? Those things scare the CRAP out of me; my worst fear is being burned to death.

So, is it possible? If so, what's the safest option?

Moving to Shakopee - Apartments? Restaurants? What to know?

I just got a job in Shakopee right off of 169 near Valleyfair. I'll be moving from Woodbury as I don't want that commute, but I've been an east-side lady my entire life, so I am a little less familiar with this side of town.

First, looking for apartment suggestions. I'm wanting to save some money for a change, so I'm looking for rent on the lower side. Somewhat near 169 and Mystic Lake Drive. My goal is to save enough money that someday maybe I can afford a house.

What local restaurants do you recommend in the area?

Anything else you think would be important for someone to know when moving to Shakopee?

Hello,

I've been interested in eink for a few years, but I've never pulled the trigger. I am starting a new job soon, and I will be doing a lot of writing and document editing and typing. I'd like something that has the compatibility to have a keyboard with it.

I'd also love something that has bluetooth capability so I can use a wireless keyboard and mouse for when I'm typing up longer documents as sometimes tiny keyboards irritate my wrist.

I'd honestly rather have a laptop than a tablet, but I don't think there's any good options, correct?

I'd also like it to be backlit enough to use in the dark, and easy switching to "dark mode," if possible.

Please point me in the right direction as many of them don't really talk about keyboards that are available for these eink devices.
