How to verify months of deferment for buy back?

I'm following the instructions on the Student Aid website: https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/forgiveness-cancellation/public-service/public-service-loan-forgiveness-buyback#eligible-months

Follow these steps to buy back months for PSLF.

  1. If you have any unreported periods of qualifying employment, certify those by using the PSLF Help Tool to submit a PSLF form.
  2. Verify the months of deferments or forbearances you want to buy back and confirm you have approved qualifying employment for the same months (see how to verify those months).
  3. Submit a request through PSLF Reconsideration. Select “PSLF Buyback” for your reconsideration type and confirm, “Yes, I have 120 months of qualifying employment.”
  4. If you are eligible to buy back months, we will send you a buyback agreement with the amount to pay and instructions to pay the full amount within 90 days of our email to you with the buyback agreement.

Clicking the link in #2 just redirects me back to this same page. What exactly am I supposed to do for #2? I already certified my employment in step 1.

Dang FF6 is so good

I was really wanting to play a retro RPG that I had never played before. I tried Golden Sun, but honestly I found the game to be a total chore. I didn't feel invested in the characters, didn't really see the point of the plot, wasn't finding battle that interesting. I played for like 12 hours and just kept thinking...when is this supposed to get fun?

Then I booted up FF6 for SNES. Hoooooly sh*t I was immediately captivated. The way they set up the context for the plot in the first 30 seconds. The little vignettes introducing the characters. It's just all so well done. Haven't been this excited for a game in ages.

Game: FF6 on SNES

Console: Trimui Brick Hammer

Mannequin: CPR practice dummy

So on the Student Aid website it lists the buyback steps like this:

My question:

Does step 1 need need to be fully processed before doing step 3? I just started step 1 but my employer hasn't signed (i know they will, that's not an issue) and idk if I need to wait before doing 3. I don't want to accidentally make things take longer.

I recently got a copy of ff9.

All the discs look like they are in OK condition, although there are a few minor scratches.

Will the games work completely as long as they boot up normally to the loading screen?

I don't want to put 30 hours into a game only to encounter a part of the game that I can't get past because of a disc scratch.

And if you're wondering why I didn't test it before buying, I got it off a street vendor for $5.
