Literally had to call and delay our IVF meds after getting a totally unexpected positive!! We had given up on natural! So excited but have been trying hard to stay cautiously optimistic after 2 previous biochems and TTC 1.8 years. Does anyone know if and when a blood HCG test is a good idea?

Crazy to see a bfp on the cycle we’d actually given up!! After TTC 1.8 years, I realised how much anxiety I was experiencing esp from the daily Mira testing. Was beginning to obsess over test accuracy and was taking the joy out of BD. A few weeks ago I got my period 2 weeks early from stress and my partner and I decided to do ivf. We signed up, put everything in place. The month before starting ivf (this cycle) I decided to stop tracking. I used only signals from my body (CM). I did a random test here and there and happened to catch my LH surge but emotionally told myself not to expect anything and not force BD if it didn’t feel natural. Then I saw the pdg spike and tested 2 days later! We called and delayed the ivf meds!! Still super nervous as have had 2 biochems before but really hoping for the best 🥹

In terms of things done differently - stopped everything! No teas, no castor oil, limited Mira tracking, muted Reddit.

Did more meditation and exercise, added COQ10 and magnesium to supplements for both of us (not sure if the last two would’ve had as much affect as would’ve only been a few weeks)

But for anyone feeling super anxious, it’s ok to step away from the rigamarole, it might be what your body needs!!
