Buy the Vespera 2 Pro or wait for the Seestar s50 Pro/Dwarf4?

I'm torn between getting one now or wait for the S50 Pro.

Any opinions? Do you expect it to be far below Vespera in terms of potential? I guess at least the price will be way better, but it might take until end of year for it to come out.

Also other recommendations or "news" are welcome. Maybe the Dwarf 4, but afaik that one is not even announced.

Btw: I know you guys have a bias, but that's welcome! 😄

Is a hybrid telescope (AP/visual) even worth considering?

Or is it "buy two scopes if you want to do that" kinda thing? Because the very cheap SV555 already outperforms almost all enormous setups (in size/weight/price/result) out there, so why even bother getting a big scope and then using it for AP, if those small units already do a tremendous job?

Would you nowadays say, that if you wanna do both, get separate devices and keep one for visual only?

Which refractor-setup would you chose for hiking? Total setup 10-15kg/23-30lbs

Is this even possible? It's mainly for visual but also for astrography (ignore camera stuff in the weight limit though).

I figure something like the AM3, a carbon tripod and some very well crafted APO refractor.

Would be curious what you would get if you had 5k USD of budget.

I'd appreciate replies that take the newest tech into consideration. To make the setup time as quick as possible (auto-align, goto, enter a planet and it should automatically aim towards it).

Should I go for the Askar 140 APO or save for the 160? Carbon Tripod?

Tripod: TC40 (ZWO)

Mount: AM7

Will a slight breeze jiggle and wiggle the 160 scope like a roly-poly toy? Or will that still be solid for astrography use. Or would that require a heavier mounting setup?

I'm a bit unsure if I would regret "only" getting the 140. But I don't want to upgrade mount and tripod.

Any way to increase the power of the flipper action? Tensioning a screw or something?

Lionsteel ROK. 400 USD, kinda underwhelming tbh. Are knife makers entering the fashion stage, where the price decoupled completely from quality? This is not my first knife in this price class that was kinda underwhelming. Actually, out of all my expensive knifes, it's a chinese we-knife that wins the quality contest by far. Closely followed by a cheaper Civivi that trumps all of my 300+ USD folding knifes.

I also have 30-40 honest Victorinox and Wenger knifes and not a single one of those ever let me down. They were all equally perfect right out of the box. All of them sub 100 USD (even the fixed blade ones), most of them sub 50, and absolutely nice quality and service. Flawless action. Here it feels like I bought some Luis Vuitton bullshit that cost me 400 USD but has a value of maybe 20. It looks nice yes, but stuff like that kills a knife as an EDC knife for me.

Or is this flipper action intentional, because losening the tension would make the blade wobble or some design mistake like that?
