Aston University London - CAS Delay for May 26 Intake (MSc Cyber Security) - Advice Needed!

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice or to see if anyone is in the same boat. I’m an international student (previously studied in France) heading to Aston University London for the MSc Cyber Security Management program.

My course starts on May 26, with the latest enrollment on June 1. I received an email from Admissions on April 28 saying I met all conditions and my CAS would be issued in 4 working days. However, there was a delay because I needed to upload a certified English translation of my previous French degree, which I did last Friday (May 8).

Since uploading the translation:

My status is still "Under Review" in CAS Shield.

I’ve already passed my credibility interview.

My financials are ready (London-specific maintenance funds).

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some genuine advice regarding my UK student visa application.

I have received my CAS from Aston University for the May intake, and I’m now preparing to book my UK student visa appointment. However, I’m worried because I previously had 3 French student visa refusals.

Here are the details:

1st Refusal – Consulate General of France, Pondicherry

Date: 14 August 2025

Reason: “The information provided to justify the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was incomplete and/or unreliable.”

2nd Refusal – Consulate General of France, Bangalore

Date: 12 September 2025

Reason: “There were sufficiently compelling elements and serious grounds to establish that the applicant would remain in France for purposes other than those for which the student visa was requested.”

3rd Refusal – Consulate General of France, Pondicherry

Date: 29 January 2026

Reason: “The information provided to justify the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was incomplete and/or unreliable.”

Now I have:

CAS from Aston University

Genuine student intention

Preparing financial documents properly

Going for UK student visa soon

My question is: Will these France refusals seriously affect my UK student visa decision? Has anyone here received UK approval after Schengen/France refusals?

I would really appreciate honest experiences or guidance from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for a UK student visa, but I’m a bit worried about my past visa history.

I’ve had 3 Schengen visa refusals from France in the past. Now I’m applying for a UK student visa with a valid CAS from a university.

My questions:

Will these previous refusals affect my UK visa decision?

Is this considered a serious negative factor by UKVI?

What is the best way to explain these refusals in my application?

Has anyone been in a similar situation and still got approved?

My profile:

Completed my degree and planning for higher studies in the UK

Genuine student with proper documents

Ready to explain refusals honestly

I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences. Thanks in advance!
