Mature age Apprenticeship

I'm hoping there are some Australias here. I'm interested in an apprenticeship in avionics working on military jets.

I have already got previous military service and electronics background.

None of my electronics trade will transfer over as RPL however I'm willing to do a 4yr apprenticeship starting at the bottom again to work in this career.

What is the likelihood to be accepted for apprenticeship over someone with no experience that is 10yrs younger straight out of school?

Does experience in a similar trade help or do they prefer fresh people?

Conch

I have a daith on one side and can wear earphones easily. I want to get a conch on the other side but not sure if this will affect the fit.

I wear Jabra elite noise cancelling which fit snuggly into the groove. The black outer part takes up most of the groove space so not the same as someone with apple earphones that are smaller.

I recently got my first APS job working in a call centre role. I was expecting it to be low stress with adequate training as it is a casual entry level position.

So far the training has been teams style meetings through a computer screen with PowerPoint presentations. We go straight from that to going onto the phones and using complex systems and scripting. It is a sink or swim culture and causing mass anxiety when going into work. We have not been trained in everything because the scope is so broad and we are expected to learn on the job. We haven't even added the KPIs and timed calls to what we are doing yet and it's already overwhelming.

I don't think I can continue in this line of work due to underlying health conditions.

Are there any low stress entry level positions in the APS that I should look out for?

My netgear router finally reached end of life after 10 years and I'm looking to upgrade. My internet provider Aussie Broadband sells eero outright for half price.

I am not sure which model to go for. I only want one device not a mesh system. Currently live by myself in 100m² apartment. Use the wifi for streaming, phone apps and emails.

I dont mind the price difference but wondering if it's worth getting the pro or standard version?
