Beginners Guide to Ban Evasion
Hello Hello Hello, if your here and like myself you find yourself with the annoying issue that is dealing with discord. For one reason or another (DADT) you have lost your account and when you tried to go and create another one- but sadly discord has caught you for ban evasion and you think this is it- you won't be able to go to your favorite servers anymore or speak to your friends. Hell you might have lost your friends, it sucks. I know.
But not on my watch- so I will stop rambling.
Note: This is my tried and tested personal approach. It is not the only way to ban evade but it is the one I have found works best.
Step 0: Always appeal your account, just in case discord actually did make a 'whoopsy' and your able to get it back.
Step: 0.5: VPN- get a Vpn, it just makes everything so much easier. I use Nord, but Windscribe is free and works decently as a 'starter' vpn. Also- unplug your router, most routers have a dynamic IP meaning that by unplugging for 5-10 minutes it will power cycle resulting in a new IP address.
Step 1: Chillax. Discords bot will flag most of the people who try to instantly make a new account and rejoin the community. There is no immediate fix without putting your new account in danger. Wait a week minimum, ideally 3 weeks before creating a new account. Please be aware some people can get past discords detection software without waiting- but most Ban Evaders get caught in the first 3 weeks.
Step 2: Its 1-3 weeks later now? Create a new Email Address- different from your previous one, gmail is best. Create a new password- SIGNIFICANTLY different from your previous one. Create a Google Voice account- important. It's important that your email and password aren't the same or similar.
Step 3: Create your new discord account- New User, New Pfp, the email you just made, the password etc. Verify your email- now this is where the google voice account comes in. Using google voice you can generate a phone number that you can attach to your discord account- this way you don't have to use your real number or if your phone number is attached to a banned account then you can still verify a number and use all discords features. Sometimes you have to resend the code a few times- google voice is eh.
Step 4: DO NOT SAY YOU WERE BANNED. Ahem- sorry for shouting but this one is important. Saying things like "I got banned" or "Discord banned me for such and such" will usually flag your account. If you gotta tell people, say you lost your password, or send them an image of a text message letting them know what happens- I personally just use google docs.
Now this is where I am going to need you to be patient.
Step 5: Wait 1 more week, ideally you want to wait longer but its already been close to a month since you lost your account, you want your discord to accrue a little time where it exists so it doesn't look like a fresh account. I let mine marinate for about two weeks but you may take as many risks as you like.
Step 6: When rejoining servers you were in- joining a bunch of servers you were in on a banned account WILL flag you for ban evasion, what you have to do is slowly join servers, and per every 1 server you join that you were previously in, join 2 that you have never been in before. You can do this every 3 days.
Now a similar situation for adding friends- first you only want to add friends via mutual servers, adding friends directly in the beginning will flag your for ban evasion. Adding too many friends too quickly will flag your for ban evasion- again you want to add new friends that you have never had before- ideally from the new servers you join.
Step 7: Just be low key, lay low, don't draw too much attention to yourself, and if you can do that for about 3 months then you don't have to worry about discord detecting you as by that point they won't suspect you.
Alternatively: If you are a patient person and don't wanna do any of this- just wait 3 months then make a new account- cuz discord wont detect you by them.
