Off campus Apartments

Hello, I am hoping to go to GSU in the next year or so, and wanted to know the best options for off campus housing.
I made a list of potential places based on some research I’ve done on here and google reviews and wanted to know yalls take on each apartment.
Also let me know if any of these should be under a different category.

Thanks in advance

Hello all! I’m a high school junior from Illinois doing some college research, and GSU has come across my list! From what i’ve seen online, the school seems like a pretty nice institution that has some nice sounding programs for what I’m interested in, but i’d love to know what some current students and alumni would think of the school for a student like me :)

———

For some context, i’d most likely be trying to major in something like Multimedia Journalism, Communication Studies, or Multimedia and Film Production. Additionally, i’d like to try minoring in something artsy, like Graphic Design, Music Technology, or Creative Writing, or something humanities based, like English, History, or Philosophy

———

Some things that are important to me are…

- networking/employment opportunities

- quality/prestige of education, programs, and facilities

- LGBTQ+ safety and resources (This is a big one for me personally given some things I know about the reputation of GA outside of Atlanta/Savannah, and some things i’ve seen online about GSU and Statesboro)

- resources for low income/first gen students

———

Additionally, i’d love to know about activities at the school, especially in the realm of…

- the arts, especially performing arts like drama, a capella, musical theatre, etc

- music, on campus and greater local/underground music scene

-party and/or bar & club culture

- Sporting events

- Student clubs and general social life on campus.

- greek/frat life and rushing, if anyone has any insight into that.

———

Happy and hoping to hear all of your guys’ thoughts soon!

I’ve been in the library a bit recently. On the first floor where all the files are, and I heard shuffling footsteps approaching behind so much I was convinced someone was behind me but there was no one…the today I’m looking around in the files for fun and there was banging on the bookshelf.. anyone else have any experiences like this or just me :,)

Hello everyone I am currently a student at ABAC in Georgia and I am transferring to GSU in fall 2026. I am trying to figure out how much I will be paying per semester at GSU. I have the Zell Miller Scholarship and the max amount from the Pell Grant. Those are the only scholarships I know for sure I will be getting. I wanted to come on here and see if anyone can give me a ballpark for how much I will be needing to pay myself. I am housing on campus most likely in a 2 person suite. I know this is probably super confusing and I am not expected a precise answer literally just any insight will be greatly appreciated.

so I took this lab professor that was terrible ( 1.7 rating on RMP ) and I’m wondering if I’m cooked. I’m tryna see what my final grade is but she won’t post my grades until the last week ( already took my final too ), I was wondering if I’m cooked. I’m trying to get into the nursing program and am just worried about what to do now.

I’m a senior in high school about to attend the armstrong campus this fall. I chose it because it’s closer to savannah but i’ve seen mixed reviews about parties and the people, is it easy to make friends, is there stuff to do around campus with friends? I’ve heard many people say it’s a party school but a lot also say it’s a quiet school with not much student activity

Any information would really help🙏

I had a rough sexual experience a couple days ago (on and off fingering for ~20 minutes with a lot of pressure and multiple orgasms/squirting). I didn’t pee for a few hours after.

About 1–2 days later I started feeling bladder pressure, mild cramping, bloating, and a sore/irritated feeling in my lower pelvis, kind of like when you hold your pee for too long and it feels sore afterward. No severe burning yet, but some discomfort and “full bladder” sensation.

I’m trying hydration, cranberry juice, and ibuprofen for now. I’m wondering if this sounds more like irritation from friction/overstimulation vs an early UTI, and how long symptoms usually last in cases like this

I will be visiting campus today and tomorrow on the behalf of a family owned storage company. We are mostly looking for freshman and sophomores since we know they have to be moving out and would like to try our hardest to help with the process.

So, im just looking for general info, where the best foot traffic will be for the younger students, anywhere public that will give me access to a bathroom, and maybe some places that will allow me to leave some fliers for the company.

Anybody in any of them can tell me what they’re like on campus. I’m going to the Armstrong campus and see very little about it . I’m totally down. I’m not going into Savannah, but not.

Hi everyone I am just looking for some insight on my current question. I am planning to transfer into GSU this upcoming fall with my friend who is graduating high school in a couple of weeks. We decided we were going to go here at the same time so we could room together since we are very close and doing the same major (Mechanical Engineering). As I’ve been doing research into housing I’ve found that transfers are only allowed to dorm in freedoms landing on campus and that it is very competitive to get a room. Due to other reasons we applied later than usual and we have just submitted our housing application where I had a couple preferences including freedoms landing. It seems that there is a very big possibility that we don’t get a room there and that we can’t dorm together. I’ve already emailed housing but I wanted to ask here also to see if anyone has experienced this. Like is there a way I can dorm somewhere else on campus with him or is it just a lost cause? Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated because I am pretty worried about this.
