Once you get in shape and look better you’ll suddenly WANT to promote your music.

I was obese for the most apart do my life. For the music part of my life I was obese for 7 years. I lost significant weight. Got better skin and clothes. For the past 6 months. I gained more listeners and average listeners per months than the previous 5 years of my carrier. It might be because of looks but I also almost didn’t promote myself at all.

I think we worry how we look like in other people eyes and too self conscious about it. And of course people judge by how you look. But if you put music first and your “image” after I think people generally don’t care. Just have something worth remember about you. It doesn’t need to be looks. It can be your lyrics your arrangements or soundscape.

I’m a music producer. Currently rocking M1 MAX 32gb RAM 1TB.

My average track counts in a project is 100-150 including everything.

Use a lot of Kontakt libraries, Some Ozone and God Particle. Also lots of recordings and so on.

M1 Max Holds well. No lags no issues. But I have to run at 2048 buffer size to avoid all the cracks. They happen at 512 size.

Lately a feel like my 16 inch is too bulky and I wanted to downgrade size wise.

I know m5 air and m5 pro are the options. Not sure which one to choose. Because m5 air with 32bg might be just enough. Or should I stick with 14 inch?

I wish I could stress test my projects on those machines but I don’t know anyone who have them.

M1 Max is a pretty old machine so not sure how much of a difference will I see with M5 and M5 Pro. I know there are improvements but can’t tell how significant

I’ve been diving lately into music marketing from the modern social media perspective and noticed a pattern. Many artists who are content makers with 10-500k followers are usually the one they I never heard of and not inclined to listen to.

But artists who I actually listen to usually don’t even make content, like most people. I understand some of them are so big that they are THE brand itself but others even with the same 10-500k followers and couple reels and TikTok that showcase their music instead of being specific trendy format. They are not consistent with content but consistent with music releases.

Is it just because I’m inclined to specific demographic. And content maker musicians are just for broader audience?
