Friend caught this at the Bow Valley Trail and Benchlands intersection. Kind of wild seeing this in Canmore where things are usually pretty relaxed. Looks like some people brought their big city rage to the mountains this weekend.

This view never gets old 🇨🇦

This is normal Alberta experience, which is Canmore leading up from the front. The elks have made Canmore its home and the traffic is mostly this. 🦌🦌🦌🇨🇦🇨🇦

I just returned from a trip to the rockies. I spent time in Canmore and Banff, and I must say that I much preferred Canmore. The town is so cozy, relaxed, cute, and scenic. It also had really great hikes and trails nearby. Great restaurants and overall vibe too.

On the other hand, Banff's town felt like an amusement park. It was tremendously busy such that it was difficult to walk about - and is isn't even high season yet. There is great hiking nearby/from town, but they can all be easily reached from Canmore with a 20 drive.

All in all, I am fairly well traveled, and Canmore was one of my favourite destinations in the world. Its a magical place and I would highly recommend staying there for a trip to the Canadian rockies. Thanks for the hospitality, Canmore.

Wedding venues

My daughters getting married summer 2027 and we are here touring wedding venues and are debating between silvertip golf course and Stewart creek. Anyone attend a wedding there or get married at either of these? We are leaning towards silvertip but any advice would be helpful! Thank you

Hi everyone,

Me and my fiance are travelling to Canmore late October this. We really like hiking and walking in trails. We usually use AllTrails when looking for hikes but I wanted to ask locals or people who have been to Canmore any recommendations. We are not harcore hikers. I am also seeing in AllTrails that some trails needs permits and what not so it is kinda intimidating. I am looking for recommendations, tips, suggestions or whatever that can help me plan something for our trip. We are also happy to join groups if there will be any.

Title says all you need to know. Need to get from Canmore to Ha Ling peak trailhead and all the taxi services are charging upwards of 60 bucks. It’s ridiculous. Uber doesn’t offer services in that area either. I just need to go for a 5-10 mins ride up the mountain. I drive a lowered BRZ so needless to say my car can’t handle that gravel road. If anyone who’s is Canmore wants to help me out and make 40 bucks (20 both ways) hit me up. Thanks guys.

Hello!

My sister and I were last in Canmore in 2024 for a sewing vacation weekend. We spent about $650 for four nights in April, and looking at the same place for again four nights in this upcoming September is over $1600.

Is there somewhere reasonably priced to stay that has two beds, a kitchenette and a sturdy kitchen table to sew on?

If it’s a bluebird day in the Rockies, there’s a good chance Canmore’s Haldan Borglum is gunning for the summit of one of the highest peaks in the range.

It has been 2 years since I went to this location in the summer time and clicked this random photo with the majestic mountain range with snow on its tips.

I'm looking for somewhere on Saturday morning from about 7am-8am that I can sit and soak in a great view of mountains. It can be inside or outside. If there's a chair/picnic table, that's a bonus. If there's coffee nearby, even better. But the "sit with a view and breathe deep" is the priority.

I've just got one hour this Saturday AM. That's it.

Thanks!

It’s not the raddest hike in town but there’s a good reason it’s popular.

Long shot, but I am out in Canmore for work for the next couple months and the 3 hours of driving is getting a bit much so I’m looking to bring my trailer here and stay some nights in Canmore.

Wondering if there is anyone here that has some extra space on their property that would be interested in (for a small fee) letting me park the trailer.

Or if anyone knows an open camp ground that is cheap in or close to Canmore. I Don’t need any hook ups for the trailer.
