The WTC and Pentagon were adult targets. You think of the victims as first responders and office workers. Got me thinking what the youngest victim‘s age was, maybe some 18 year old intern fresh out of high school or something?

Then I remembered the planes. People traveling on vacations that would never come, going to visit family who would never see them again. Entire families gone in the blink of an eye. Children.

Eight children died on 9-11, the youngest being two and a half. If she was still alive, she would be around 27 depending on when birthdays fall.

Those kids could have had families of their own, careers

for me it wasn’t really taught as much, as we all lived through it to be a current event, and/or our textbooks weren’t updated since first gulf war.

but I have some people in my friend group who are younger and they all claim that they are shown videos of it every year, and describe a montage set to Evanescence’s Bring me to Life, which is just wild to me, to treat it like some kinda AMV crap, but two of them said this exact thing happened, independently of each other. I’m sure it’s just a local choice by one teacher here to do it that way, but it got me thinking-

how is it taught nowadays

I am sick of cleaning up after you.

I wander through the Tyler County Fairgrounds and just see piles of loot everywhere. Stew pots with caps, handcuffs, wood scraps, and dolls legs tucked away inside. I go to the giant tea pot and it’s just bug steaks and dog meat left all over the place. Bolton Greens it’s the same thing! Chessboards stacked on oil cans with .45 rounds and the occasional stimpack.

I used to go to these places with my family prewar, and like to go back to relieve some family memories, but you people gotta stop leaving all your loot around. The place is already dirty enough, clean up after yourselves!
