I was best friends with a guy in uni and after a year he confessed to me and I didn’t like him so we stopped begin friends

our story kept getting reconnected until we dated for a couple months and then broke up for the sake of religion

A couple months later of me praying and asking god to reconnect us in halal

We met again and his mom came and met me and we got engaged almost now two weeks before the engagement party he seems to be backing out

And my heart is breaking

أنا كنت رفقات مع شي و بعد فترة من الاعترافات منو ارتبطنا و ضلينا مع بعض فترة نص سنة بس بعدين تركنا مشان الإسلام و الدين شكيت بحبو ل الي مع انو كان كتبر منيح معي بعد فترة ٥ شهور من الانقطاع رجعنا و قررنا نخطب و تيسرت امورنا و اجو اهلو اول مرة و اتفقنا و بعدين ردو اتصلو و اتفقو على المهر و بعدين اجو آخر مرة و خلص تثبتت المواضيع و بقيان كان بس انحط موعد للموضوع

فجاءة بيوم و ليلة قلي متل كانو غير رأيو

و صار يقلي عم صلي استخارة و الامور عم تتعسر اكتر

مع انو من كم يوم كان كلشي ممتاز

مع العلم اهلي دفعو مبالغ كتير كبيرة ل ينزلو من السفر مشان هي القصة

بس كيف فيو شب يكون بحب لهي الدرجة و بيوم و ليلة كلشي يتغير

لسا الأهل ما حكو مع بعض انو التغى شي

In April last year I (22F)started dating my boy bestfriend (22M)after he confessed to me a couple times and I rejected him I decided to give him a shot

We broke up in early September of last year because of his family and friends pressure but at the time the break up came out of no where from me, one day we were fine and the next he was breaking up with me

So I grieved for the next couple months and finally in late January he started texting me again and we got back together and in April of this year we got engaged (our families met and agreed on everything what was left was just the party)

And then out of nowhere he completely changed and he’s backing out now

I’m completely heartbroken this is out of nowhere for me I trusted and loved him a lot

The only thing I’m sure about is that he loved me

But where did that love suddenly go

Everything was fine
