I was laid off from a Fortune 100 MNC in a strategy/commercial role. I have few years experience of deploying CRM campaigns end to end for end users in US, Europe and Japan. Being a jack of all trades trades - I feel that I can join a startup and play multiple roles. I have a background in computer engineering degree coupled with few open source contributions and research internships. This was followed by corporate career in a management consulting firm and later moved to a product based company. Please let me know if you have any leads or idea on how to get hired in startups.

I trusted someone and he played me emotionally and mentally. Turns out he was using the classic playbook which I was naive and unaware of. Now I can’t stop thinking about him and hate myself for spending so much time and energy on him. I opened up my vulnerabilities to him and was there for him. He wasn’t the obvious upfront predator. He was good at words, kind on surface and acting like a gentleman. He seemed to be a green flag all along but his actions weren’t good under pressure nor he actually displayed care. He psychoanalysed me and played games. How do I move ahead and avoid these kind of people in future?
