Husband and I had to go to Home Depot this weekend. I thought I was so smart saying we should go this morning (Mother's Day), since all the families would be busy with family stuff. I was wrong. There were so many moms with kids there. One poor lady was with 3 kids under 6 by herself!

I said to my husband, if my dad tried to take my mom to HD on Mother's Day, with their 3 small kids, he would not have survived.

Once again the disparity of being a mom v a dad is on full display.

Hey Bird Fans,Since we moved into our house about 9 years ago, we've had a nesting pair of blue jays that return every year - which we love. A few years ago we hung a birdhouse in the back corner of the yard, on a large walnut tree. No one has moved in, ever. Should we try moving it to the front of the house, or other side of the yard? Blue circle on left is where the birdhouse is, and the circle on the right is the tree with the jay nest. The trees are about 40 feet from each other. Dog for scale :)
