Good moveset for Porygon-Z in Platinum?

Heyo! So I've been taking a break from my Platinum Nuzlocke, but I left off just after defeating Volkner, and have been debating who I want to bring into the E4+Champion fights. So far it's been deathless, and my encounters have honestly been absolutely stacked lol

I kinda want to use Porygon-Z, since he's kinda unique and I rarely get a chance to play with the Porygon line. Not to mention the dude is a glitchy little nuke when paired with either Download or Adaptability.

IIRC, mine does have Adaptability. So I wasn't sure if I should go all-in with Tri-Attack and some coverage moves, and Hyper Beam as a delete button... or maybe just coverage and Nasty Plot? I don't allow in-battle items, but idk if he's bulky enough to actually make use of Recover?

Any tips??

Favorite/Preferred Element in BN3?

Heyo! I'm expecting to see a lot of Aqua, since AquaCustom has always been the big fan favorite Style Change in these games, but seeing as how Wood has always been my favorite, I figured I'd ask!

What's your favorite Element to use in BN3? Any particular synergies or reasons for it?

Like I said, I love Wood Element, and ran with WoodCustom throughout BN2, which was amazing with Prism and Lifesword3 (and Tornado chips, of course). But I wanna switch it up with BN3, especially since there are a lot of cool setups you can do with Stages, like Aqua being immune to Ice panels or Heat being immune to Lava panels.

I'm thinking of trying HeatBug, since the flamethrower seems really good in this game, and I honestly love the idea of mixing in LavaStage for damage or GrassStage for... more damage lmao

Though AquaBug is a contender because it looks SUPER slick, and I've heard fun things about HeatGround if I play White eventually, so not sure...

Any input here? Would love to find some cool Folder combos that actually synergize with my Element, like I did with my Wood Style in BN2, but would love to hear others' opinions! Thank you! <3

[BN3] Style Change "Order" for 100%?

Heyo! Had a thought earlier tonight, and I'm approaching the BubbleMan segment, so figured I'd get some input...

For the sake of 100%ing the game (including getting all NaviCust parts and stuff), what would you consider the most "efficient" order to try and get all the Styles and maxing them out?

I'm planning to main Bug Style for the entire game, but thought it might be worth it to grind out some of the other Styles first, before swapping back to Bug to continue. Probably starting with Shadow just to grab the LC achievement and the NaviCust parts. Then maybe Custom for the extra chip parts? Then to Bug for the majority of my playthrough, I think.

I imagine other parts will be useful alongside BugStop, since I can then use other colored parts, but not sure what I'd want lol

Any input here? Thanks! <3

[BN3] Getting Bug or Shadow Styles FIRST???

Heyo! One more Style Change question! So going into my BN3:Blue playthrough, I'm just planning to run Bug Style throughout the game, and swap to Custom/Team in postgame for the exclusive chips before swapping back.

That said, does anyone know a good way to "guarantee" either Bug Style or Shadow Style from the first Style Change?

I mainly want Bug Style, but if I get a different one I figured Shadow Style would be good, just to grab the LC achievement and to grab its Cust parts while I'm there. But given that Shadow ONLY benefits from Invis chips, that can be tricky early on.

Tips? Thank you! <3

[BN3] Style Change Questions

Heyo! Just a couple quick questions as I dive into BN3:Blue!

  1. How important are Custom/Team Styles for 100%ing the game? I know there are some odd mechanics for chip drops with these Styles, but also that we're only allowed 1 Style in this game rather than 2.
  2. Can I just unlock Custom and Team, grind out their levels vs. basic enemies, and then swap to another Style that I want instead, and still reap the benefits from the chip drops? Or do I specifically NEED to be in those Styles for the chips?
  3. Random question, but does any particular Element work nicely with Bug Style? I LOVED Bug Style as a kid, so I kinda wanna focus on using it throughout this run. I just ran WoodCust throughout BN2, so I wanna switch it up (plus I imagine the tornado, as much as I love it, would be rough with the movement bugs lol).

Thanks!!

100% BN2 Achieved!! Let's Goooooooo!!

LET"S HECKIN' GOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

After quiet a hiatus after beating the main story, I've finally completed and gotten all Title Screen Stars for BN2! Never played BN1 or BN2 as a kid, so happy to finally get to play them and complete them 100%! Now to finally start the game that began my love for this series (and use Bug Style the entire time lol) :P

The PvP chips were obviously a pain, but aside from that, even just normal Library completion was rough. I had a lot of fun hunting down and S-Ranking all the V3 Navis, but a lot of the normal viruses were really annoying, especially some of the ones that are incredibly difficult to bust with an S-Rank, like the Shadows. Luckily, once I was down to about 4-5 non-Bass chips at the end, I was able to grab them all from the Harbor Trader pretty easily with my excess of chips from across the playthrough lol

While I do agree with the general consensus that BN2 was a HUGE upgrade over BN1 in a lot of ways, and that it's still kind of the awkward middle child before the series finally hit its stride, I don't think BN2 is nearly as bad as some make it out to be. The only really rough parts were the FreezeMan segment (hot take, I know /s) and Library completion, which... I mean, it's a grind. Not really sure what you expect from that lol

With that, my parting words: WoodCust best Style in the game, 10/10, fight me <3

Heyo! So I'm almost done with 100%ing BN2 (just need ~20 more chips in my Library and a few PAs), and am looking to start BN3 soon!

Now, I played BN3 Blue a bunch of times as a kid, as it's the first one I played that got me into the series, but I don't really remember a whole lot of it nowadays, but I want to 100% it!

All I really remember is that I would ALWAYS go immediately for Bug Style as my main Style, and I honestly kinda wanna do that again here since I always enjoyed it so much lol

Aside from that, any general advice before I dive into it? Codes to gravitate towards, fun folders to try as I go, etc.? I heard that Custom and Navi Styles actually affect chip drops in this game? No clue how that works, since I probably didn't know about it as a kid, but I assume that means I'll want those in my back pocket even if I go for Bug Style as my main. (Can you still only keep two Styles in this game?)

I appreciate any advice! Loved this game as a kid, and while I've been having a blast finally getting to play BN1 and 2 for the first time, I'm super excited to finally play BN3 again! :D

Heyo! So anytime I stream anything for my gf, she can either barely hear anything or it's essentially muted, despite me being able to hear things clear as day.

This is likely because I tend to lower the app volume in Windows to something really low when I wear headphones. It'll sound super clear and a nice volume for me, but she can't hear a thing.

If I max out the app volume, she can actually hear things, but my ears get blasted out. I can lower the master volume and she'll still be able to hear perfectly fine, and it'll sound better for me... but then I have trouble hearing HER because now my master volume is pretty low :\

I've seen tons of other posts about this in the past, and I've dealt with this for years, and it's driving me nuts. Anyone have any solutions that hopefully won't make me wanna tear my hair out? lol

Thanks!!

Edit: Worth noting that I don't have this issue at all when SHE streams something for ME. No clue why.
