PST file corrupted and I don't have Outlook installed anymore — what are my options?
Hey everyone, long time lurker here.
So I have a .pst file from my old work laptop — probably 3-4 years
worth of emails, contacts, and calendar stuff. Nothing I need day to
day but there are some important project threads and attachments in
there I really don't want to lose.
Problem is, the file won't open anymore. Just throws corruption errors.
And I uninstalled Outlook a while back since I switched to a different
email client entirely.
I've already tried scanpst.exe and it keeps saying "repair complete"
but nothing actually changes. Still can't access most of the folders.
I really don't want to reinstall Outlook just for this one file. Is
there any way to repair or at least view the contents of a corrupted
PST without having Outlook installed?
Has anyone dealt with this before? What actually worked for you?
