Just found out that the final coat applied to my new home floors was not Traffic HD as requested but Traffic Go. Should I be worried about this, especially in the kitchen? The flooring subcontractor is offering to top it off with a coat Traffic HD. Should they do another screen pass before or can it be applied directly on top of the Traffic Go? If applied on a Friday morning can it take traffic by Monday morning>
Just installed and awaiting the final coat of Bona Traffic HD extra matte. This is a dining room - not planning on a rug.
We haven’t had the final coat of Bona Traffic HD applied but we’ve noticed there are still quite a few knot holes and what appears to be bore holes that were not filled in. Is it too late to do that before the final coat of finish or do we just live with it? This white oak was supposed to be select or better grade.
Just checked our floors after 2 coats of Bona Mega One Satin and they feel rough. After a screening a final coat of Traffic HD will be applied after this weekend. Should we expect them to feel smoother at that point? Should we consider 2 coats of Traffic HD? And what happens to all the little bore and knot holes after the final coat? They’re pretty obvious now. It’s white oak select and better.
