Raising kids with good morals without religion

I have young kids and am struggling some with explaining and instilling good, strong, morals in them without using God or church as a foundation. I was Mormon since birth and only left relatively recently, though I'd been PIMO for a long time. The way I learned to "be good" was by being lectured at church for multiple hours a week, and that's just what was normal to me, and a fear of everlasting anguish and hell worked horribly well at keeping me in line (and giving me anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, but that's neither here nor there)

Now that Im out, its really important to me for my children to grow up to be kind people with intrinsic motivation to do right by others and make good choices (not necessarily ones I would make, but ones that are the best they can). The problem is the church way is all I know, and I dont know how to answer tougher dilemmas without falling back on it.

Does anyone maybe have some advice or similar experiences to share? I just feel so lost and adrift, I dont know where to go from here

My 4yo has been fully potty trained for TWO YEARS. Lately though, hes been deliberately peeing places he shouldn't. Like, the couch, the carpet, THE KITCHEN CABINETS!! Im reaching my limit here, ive tried everything i can think of, timeouts, scolding, making him clean it up, idk what else to do, but this HAS to stop 😭😭
