Betting sites are a plague, but they ARE still often right

Just a reminder to people who have been seeing the awful and infuriating news lately about Republicans getting free gerrymanders in many states, while Dems doing the same thing are getting shut down.

Don't forget, regardless of the cheating, Dems are in fact still highly favored to win the House in the Midterms. Senate is up in the air, but House looks pretty damn safe. A good way to tell is the betting/gambling sites. They are a plague that need to be shut down, but the fact remains that they are usually right.

Back in 2024, when everyone thought Kamala would win, betting sites were betting on Trump, and they were right. Well these days the betting sites show Dems with a 75% or higher chance to win the House. HIGHLY favored. And even though those sites are scummy as hell, they're also quite accurate more often than not. AND remember Dems have been outperforming expectations ever since 2025 began. So that makes things even MORE likely.

So try to relax. As bad as the news has been, as long as we all get out and vote, we WILL win the House during Midterms. And that's all we need to make Trump a lame duck president.

So I'm sure this is a common problem, but searching online has provided mixed answers, so i figured I'd try to ask people more directly.

Long story short, I took a ride in an Uber, and they wrongfully charged me an $80 cleaning fee. I recall the ride completely, and I can guarantee there was no mess. It was a clear day, no rain or mud, didn't step in anything, all I had with me was a small paper bag with a packaged vape cartridge in it, I wasn't sick and did not throw up or anything, it was literally a straightforward 10 minute ride where nothing of note happened.

So either the driver is making it up, or he had a mess and wrongfully assumed it was me. But Uber already sent an automatic response refusing to look into it. I'm currently processing a reversal with my credit card company, but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas how i can try to get Uber to resolve it themselves. I saw someone online mentioning that threatening to report it to the BBB and the police for fraud made them look into it and find it was wrong. But any other ideas would be appreciated too.
