Does my PC not have enough power?

I made a post the other day about upgrading from an RX 6500 XT, and I bought an RTX 5050. I spent the whole time trying to be 100% sure everything would go together well. Now that I've installed the 5050, my monitor can't detect my PC. I made sure everything is where it should be and nothing is loose.

The only thing I'm not sure of still is that I'm using a 6 +2 pigtail cable for my PCIe.

I got my first PC last year for Christmas and it's been doing better than a hp pavilion laptop with NVidia that I've been using for about 7 years. The only drawback is that it can't play VR games at all unlike my laptop. I can't switch back to the laptop because nowadays its slow, barely turns on anymore and has trouble running more modern games.

- Windows 11 Home

-AMD Ryzen 5 5500 4.2 GHz

16GB DDR4 Memory

AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB

1TB PCI-E 4 NVME SSD

I saw that I could change out the 6500 XT for a RX 6600/6700 XT or an RTX 3060, but I know almost nothing about building PCs and whatever information I learn doesn't stick. So, if I were to change the 6500 XT, would/should I change anything else?

I don't know exactly if this is the right subreddit to post this, but I can't find out what is causing this messed up look in game. The same happens with the castle in the intro.

If this isn't the correct subreddit, can someone please tell me?

Thank you.
