My wife's and mine landsknecht kit

Based on a book of woodcuts from master Koebel. Aiming for 1530s-1550s. The wams being wool and not leather is somewhat debatable, but not an inaccuracy in my opinion.

The fabric is a well felted light melton.

Me and my wife's landsknecht kit.

A lot of fun to make, but entirely dependent on getting the right felted wool like this melton. I even wrote a free guide for mine, but can't link it directly because of the Reddit self promotion policy.

The drafting was done using the wrap method and a lot of intuitive adjustments, as modern patterning doesn't work when it comes to pre-modern clothing.

My Greek panoply

I am an armorer and this is the kit I made. Photos from Plataea and the helmet update since then.

My armor and wife

We only have two renfaires in my country, I am taking them to the better one.
