Ronghua red rose
I am crafting this red rose using the ancient Chinese technique called Ronghua, which consists on shaping pure silk to create the petals. This is still just a part of the finished piece, but it is looking good so far!
This is Celosia ✨🕷️
She is made of faceted gemstones and goldstone beads 😊💖
This piece just came off my crochet hook. 😊 Hope you enjoy it! ❤️
Beading on canvas is my new favorite thing 💕
I’ve been painting canvases and then sewing beads onto them. It’s so fun and tactile. 💕
Advice for Drying fresh Pine Needles for Basketweaving?
A pine tree dropped mutliple branches during a storm and I collected them when cleaning the yard. I want to make pine needle baskets but am recieving a lot of mixed information.
Most of what's out there is based on dry needles collected from the ground. There is some about weaving green needles but I am also seeing that this can lead to warping.
Some sources are telling me I can dry the needles in the oven but advise to do so until they are brittle, which other sources say is bad for weaving, I want soft needles.
What do I do?
Advice on Queen's mask
Hello alll! Im writing because im currently making my cosplay /costume and while ive figurred our other aspects of creating it I have been stuck on the task of the mask/helmet.
I have never made a mask like this , it reminds me of superhero mask with extra details. The middle is legit skull on her mask.
Ive looked up if anyone has done this cosplay before to get ideas to derive from but there is none to on Google!
my boyfriend suggested a face shell but I do not all to understand that. I was considering 3d printing but im nervous it'd be heavy and difficult to wear. Any suggestions or ideas would be great!
I have added picture for reference
thank youuuuuuu

Plush Bouquet Help Pt2!!
Okay so this is a continuation from the previous help post I made.
I managed to stick the plushie skewers onto a piece of cardboard. But right now the problem is to get it into a bouquet shape ?
First, since it’s just a piece of cardboard, it’s flat and doesn’t really have any shape like a real flower bouquet.
Second, it’s not really that stable when it’s flat BUT I have found that it’s far more stable when it’s bent in half ? There’s a vertical line in the center of the cardboard going straight down, and as you can see in the first picture, I am holding the bouquet in a way where I am bending that bend ? And it holds the plushies together much better.
But this is where my third problem comes in, I need someway to still be able to hold the bouquet normally. I have thought of adding this piece of floral foam at the part of where the ‘handle’ would usually be (see 4th pic), but because of the vertical bend on the cardboard…yeah it wont exactly stay as it’s folded. Soo I have no idea how to attach the foam piece.
The last picture is my design mockup of what the bouquet should preferrably look like.
If anyone has any ideas, ALL ARE WELCOME !!! This is due by like next week :’) Plz send help !!

Does anyone have the Tumbling Cosmos cutting guide from Pink Door
Hi! I ordered the Tumbling Cosmos kit from Pink Door and it comes with like a packet of extra long pages that have a cutting guide and the pattern for the kit. I moved across the country in September and have been hunting for mine ever since.
Unfortch the store is unwilling to help me out and I don’t know where else to turn. My color vision is not good enough to parse the pattern by pictures alone either.
Is there anyone out there who can help a girl out?
Styrofoam issue- no longer!
thank you so much u/magnolya_rain for the tissue paper idea!! it worked so well, I tried to dip the tissue paper in the mod podge and it was so messy and sticky… so I just brushed it on. it didnt stick onto the actual styrofoam that much but wrapping it all around helped it stay on.
