How to cut back on overmanipulation?

How to cut back on overmanipulation?

Ive got 4ab type, it was growing really well and then suddenly the styling product i was using (shea moisure curl smoothie with water in a spray bottle) stopped working. In my search for something new (shea moisture strength and restore) I wound up over manipulating my hair and it's breaking off. But everything I know how to do to my hair requires some sort of manipulation. Even "just" putting a hat on means adding something heavy enough to weigh it down so that when I brush it down, the hat doesn't act like one of these. My mom has type 3 "good" hair and never had my problems. She's constantly pissed that i take so long with my hair, i'm anxious because it's taking extra time to style in a way that hides the breakage when I'm on a time constraint and pretend everything's fine when all I see is all the hair in my comb and brushes but idk what to do.

I live in an apartment complex with batch wifi. I turned off my phone to charge overnight. This morning it worked fine til around 11am, then when I tried to reconnect, I keep getting ""incorrect password (unchanged)"". Ive done everything I can do without the leasing office since they're gone for the day: i restarted the phone multiple times, I reset my phone network multiple times, I clicked "forget wifi" multiple times, I found out I can't clear the cache partition on my phone anymore, I put it in and out of airplane mode multiple times, I switched from data back to wifi multiple times, and it still won't work.
