Hey everyone, I play a few different instruments and I'm finally trying to transition away from bulky binders of paper sheet music. However, I'm struggling to find the right hardware for my music stand.

I'm currently using an 11-inch iPad, but it’s just not working for me. The screen glare from room and stage lighting is harsh and really aggravates my dry eyes, even after putting a matte screen protector on it. Plus, depending on the instrument I'm playing and how far away my stand is positioned, an 11-inch screen is just a bit too small to read complex notation comfortably.

I'm looking to upgrade to a larger screen, but my main priority is finding a display that actually reads like real paper to prevent eye strain during long practice sessions.

I’ve been researching the TCL NXTPAPER tablets, as well as some of the larger e-ink devices on the market. Has anyone here used these for reading scores? Does the anti-glare tech actually feel like paper, or does it still just feel like a standard tablet?

Clarinetists who use digital sheet music: Any recommendations for larger tablets that don't cause eye strain?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to finally transition away from binders of paper music for my clarinet practice and rehearsals, but I'm running into a hardware issue and could use some advice.

I’ve been trying to use my 11-inch iPad on my music stand, but it’s just not working for me. The glare from room lights is brutal, and it really aggravates my dry eyes (I even tried a matte screen protector, but it barely helped). On top of that, an 11-inch screen feels a bit too small to comfortably read dense technical passages from a standard playing distance.

I really need a larger screen, but my absolute priority is finding a display that reads more like actual paper so my eyes don't burn after a 45-minute session.

While doing some research, I saw a few mentions of the TCL NXTPAPER line, as well as some e-ink tablets. Has anyone here used those, or have any other eye-friendly setups they use for reading charts?

I'd really appreciate any advice before I drop money on another device!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a solid digital alternative to carrying around bulky binders of paper scores, but I'm running into some hardware issues.

I do have an iPad, but it’s not a good fit for me. The screen glare is rough under stage or practice room lighting, and it really aggravates my dry eyes. I tried putting a matte screen protector on it, but it didn't help much. On top of that, reading complex notation on an 11-inch screen is just a bit too small to be comfortable for long playing sessions.

I want to upgrade to a bigger screen, but my absolute priority is finding something that is easy on the eyes and reads more like real paper.

I've heard some talk about the TCL NXTPAPER products—has anyone here used one for reading sheet music? Is the anti-glare actually legit, or does it still feel like staring at a standard tablet

I’m trying to find a digital alternative to paper accordion scores. Any suggestions for going digital?

I do have an iPad, but it's not a good fit for me because of the glare, and I have dry eye problems. I tried a matte screen protector, but it wasn't helpful. It is also sometimes too small for me to read comfortably while playing, since it's only 11 inches....

I want a bigger screen that won't give me dry eyes. I've heard about the TCL NXTPAPER products—has anyone used one of these for reading sheet music before? Is it good? Thoughts?
