What kind of beast is crawling out of these and is it safe to leave the kids and pets alone in the yard?

Many mediums have confronted social commentary, but heretofore they have always operated within the parameters of universal virtues.

For example, The Twilight Zone didn't confront racism because it was black versus white, it confronted racism because we share the universal virtue of shared human dignity.

Today's race baiters don't carry that message. They only want to cobble together political majorities to get them through the next election cycle.

I just canceled my subscription

I'm not even sure I want to play for free.

I've now opened 3 packs a day and 3 10-packs without a single 4-diamond card. Not 1.

"bUt iTs JusT tHe OdDs!"

Well, odds are, I don't feel like paying $120 a year to be treated like this.

Base tour

I've seen a lot of people posting that they are new to the game. I am relatively new as well. I want to show how much you can achieve.

For the record, I'm not creative enough to come up with all of this on my own. I relied heavily on YouTubers such as BRADEN, Eradicati0n (the stables at 3:10 are a 1 for 1 of one his builds), Angaar, and even our very own frequent contributor: u/simsekcountr

It's because of them my time playing has been much more rewarding than it might otherwise be. They support the community, so please support them even if with just a click, a comment, and a thumbs up on their channels.

Someone asked where I built my base. Unfortunately, I cannot post an image as a reply. So...

It has a modest amount of iron and coal. Not far from Scuttlers Cave for ichor, gossamer, skeleton keys and legendary chests. Nearby camp for thralls. Near the savanna for critters. Near the watchtowers of the Northland to farm star metal weapons.

Experimented with a new technique tonight.

I wanted consistent depictions of the characters I generated and I wanted to show them interacting.

I took 3 of the characters I had previously prompted and spliced them together in the general position I wanted them relative to each other. I then pasted the image and prompted, "Depict the superhero in blue 'bonking' the other 2 characters together."

The result is the second image.

I'm wondering if the question isn't CAN the bots conquer us but more like: What's in it for them?

Good: Graphics obviously. The night sky is much more vibrant. The stars wheel through the sky, they also have different colors and some even blink. You can no longer see the stars through (in front of?) the moon.

Bad: I lost all my attuned obelisks.

Ugly: Braziers and torches give off much weaker light. Ditto legendary weapons that are supposed to glow. Waterfalls are barely noticeable up close (my throne room has a waterfall as its backdrop. It's practically nonexistent now).

I have to give a presentation at work. It is an *extremely* boring topic. I want to liven things up by treating it in a melodramatic manner.

I'm taking the issues that impede people's work efforts and anthropomorphizing them as comic book villains and then just leaning into the puns.

I'm fair with a pencil but nowhere near professional quality and I don't want that lack of quality to distract. Plus, I ain't got that kind of time!

I also don't have an in-house graphic designer, nor do I have a budget. It's just ol' Sarge out here dog-paddling on the high seas all by himself.

So, I spun up the bot.

I am more than happy with the character concept generated. This is awesome.

I'm of the opinion that we should not get upset over the barbs thrown out by some in the anti community.

For starters, I'm of the, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me," school of thought. However, I am sympathetic to those who who are tired of the incessant toxicity. I simply wish to take away the power of the toxicity by demonstrating that it is hollow.

In the top row of the posted image is a thread I found where the drawings would not get the creator into any art school that offered to do anything more than cash the tuition check. I've seen genocidal maniacs from Austria had more technique. Yet, notice how those replying all gush.

Meanwhile, in the bottom row, an image most would be hard pressed to match let alone beat is denounced as "meh" and nitpicked over details that don't even make sense. Most amusing of all is dismissing it as "gooner material," something not leveled at the collection of hand drawn all female subjects.

"But, Sarge!" I hear them say, "at least he put in the effort!"

What does that even mean? Is it some measure of angst expended? The number of calories burned? The only reason they say that is because even they don't know what it means which *means* they can shift the definition at any time to keep them from being wrong or to keep you from being right.

It means nothing.

And in that you should find peace. It doesn't matter how good an image the AI can generate, they will talk it down and impose standards they will not uphold for their own. It doesn't matter how many flaws a hand drawn work may exhibit, it will be immune to criticism.

The AI image isn't fake, the critics are.

>The field isn’t dying, but it is being hit from multiple directions.

>From the outside, HB 837 looks like it reduced case volume in certain areas, and when that happens, support staff are usually the first cuts. That’s a demand shock tied to the law, not the profession disappearing.

>I’m doing my PhD on technology adoption in the legal sector, and what we’re seeing is a shift in what firms hire for. Routine work is being automated or reduced, which is why postings now include AI, document automation, and hybrid roles.

>That doesn’t eliminate legal staff, but it does reduce purely administrative roles and increase demand for people who understand workflows, case management, and how to work alongside these systems.

>At this point, learning things like AI prompting and basic automation is becoming a practical skill, not a niche one.

>So it’s less “the field is dying” and more “the role is changing, and some parts of it are shrinking.
