Curious to know who is responsible for terminating people? Should dismissal letters not look a certain way?

For dual citizens who are born in one of the ban countries and have citizenship from a non-ban country, does USCIS place a hold on your case adjudication because of your country of birth being in the ban list?

This is specifically for I-140 processing.

I am seeking advice in a family law appeal currently at the permission to appeal stage in the court of appeal.

The case concerns recognition of a foreign divorce under the family law act 1986 and whether there was a legally sufficient evidentiary basis for the finding that I had a reasonable opportunity to participate in the foreign proceedings.

My grounds of appeal focus on whether the court was entitled to infer continuing procedural notice and participation opportunity, where there was no evidential chain demonstrating notification of substantive procedural stages after initial service.

A further important issue is that the court relied on a foreign judgment in reaching its decision including references in the judgment. However, the Respondent did not serve this judgment on me, and I was not provided with a copy during the proceedings. As a result, I had no opportunity to review or challenge its contents before the court relied upon it.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience of this nature and/or can comment on the merits of the case?

I am curious to see how people have handled situations related to letter writers? Especially when you know that your supervisor cannot be a suitable letter writer.

Is it okay to reach out to other Professors and ask them for letters of recommendation?
