Do cold showers/plunges have any actual benefits?

I’ve seen it come up a lot in a lot of online wellness spaces…but I can’t seem to find any hard science about the benefits of doing it. I feel like I hear a lot of it from Andrew Huberman fans and such, but from what I’ve read cold showers or plunges are actually bad for building muscle right after a workout.

Is there any truth to it? I kind of wanted to try it out but not if there’s no proven benefits…

Could coffee still affect my sleep even if I have it in the morning?

I skipped my coffee yesterday and slept like a baby, 9 hours. Wondering if my issues are from the coffee even though I have it at 9:30 or so and go to bed at 11

Will LA ever be a walkable city?

I’m from the east coast. I feel like location wise LA is arguably the best in the US. It’s just designed so poorly it seems. I’m not anti-car, I love driving, but for leisure and fun, or when I want to race someone on the highway, not my daily life. Most American cities seem to be car focused unfortunately but LA seems to have it really bad, even with the expansions to the metro system. I wish I could pick up Chicago and move it to where LA is or something. Is there any way for the city to even make changes to infrastructure and housing to make it walkable?

Did your symptoms get worse over time?

I’m on the younger side but I feel like my symptoms of sleep apnea just became exponentially more and more apparent over like a 3-4 year period. Wondering if anyone else had this?

What are the best careers that aren’t a 9-5, mon-fri?

22m, currently in grad school right now and I graduate next year but I honestly feel like I’ve lost a lot of interest in the subject….regardless, I think my feelings of despair towards working are mostly the 9-5 5 days a week. I loathe the idea of essentially spending my entire week doing anything. It seems that there aren’t many companies that allow you to just work whenever you want.

Any suggestions?

Can stress about school and work cause me to wake in the middle of the night?

Frequently wake up about 4 hours after going to bed many night, I’m wondering if my pending/late assignments that I’ve been avoiding and procrastinating on could someone help causing me to ruminate and then my brain isn’t able to “turn off” or something?….i guess I’m just speculating here…
