Hi everyone,
I'm Jerzy, one half of Clumsy Bear Studio, the two-person team behind Hungry Horrors.
Quick recap: it's a card-based roguelike where you cook and serve traditional British and Irish recipes to monsters before they reach the princess and feed on her. Instead of killing enemies, you satisfy their appetite. You build your deck around flavour synergies (sweet, savoury, sour, salty, bitter), each Horror has its own taste preferences, and you fight your way through monsters drawn from British and Irish mythology like the Redcap, Buggane, Black Annis, Jenny Greenteeth, the Banshee, and the Dullahan.
The new patch (0.2.9) brings four new modes:
It also reworks Horror moves into attack patterns (some with multiple phases), expands dish abilities, and adds new cookware.
The game is in Steam Early Access, currently at 98% positive reviews, and on 30% off until 11 May as part of Steam Deckbuilders Fest.
