Hi there. I am a 26 year old guy living in India with my family. I came out as Gay to my dad today. He is in shock. He did not yell at me or disown me but he said it’s against the order of nature and wants to take me to a psychologist. Has anyone faced something similar? I agreed as of now because I hope the psychologist would make him understand that it can’t be changed.

Hi I am 26M staying in Mumbai. I came out as Gay to my Dad today. He wants me to see a psychologist he said it’s against nature. He did not yell or disown me or anything but he is saying he open to counselling. I agreed for now. Can someone please tell me what course of action can be forward? He is planning to take me to a psychologist from a well reputed hospital. Will they agree with my dad I am really scared.
